Indianapolis....Crossroads of America.

I think you are a Marxist. You know so much about them to not be one.

You probably one of those that think Dr. MLK Jr. was a Marxist or Communist.
Stupid reply of the week. "You know so much about them to not be one." Do you think before you type? Have you ever heard of the concept of knowing your enemy? I am guessing not.

@BNIBoiler to his auto mechanic: Are you my car? You know so much about it you must be my car...

@BNIBoiler to his Doctor: Are you Herpes? You know so much about my Herpes you must be Herpes...

@BNIBoiler to his mirror: are you...me?....

I mean, you can read way into the teachings of Christ and find some threads that align with socialism or whatnot, but to say Jesus was anticapitalist would be misguided in my opinion, because modern capitalism doesn't come into existence until after the feudal era.
Threads? Going by what he said there is really little doubt. Although I am a capitalist by nature, one needs to be honest about all of the socialistic programs ongoing in this country. Social Security, farm programs, defense contracts, the list goes on and on and many that collect these benefits are diehard conservatives that continue to take government money whenever they can get it.

Government subsidies to private industry is not socialism at all, dude.

No they aren't. Do workers or the public control the means of production or have democratic control of those subsidies?

No, that's 100% Keynesian capitalism. Read a book.
Social security is NOT Keynesian capitalism. Neither has been American Agriculture for the last 100 years. The government through subsidies controls and directs production. The government used to require set asides of land to receive subsidies for Ag production. Now they simply pay farmers annual rental rates per acre on long term contracts(10 to 15 years)to idle farm land. Social Security is controlled completely by the government. Defense contracts are totally dependent on government orders, and the government determines supply and demand. Oil subsidies are different in that they are incentives to produce and not to control supply and demand. Lots of programs that provide incentives do not control supply and demand of those industries and are as you say, not socialistic.

Why are you talking about social security? This is drivel.

Social Security is a program providing funding to Americans. The government controls it. Farm programs control agricultural production. Those are examples of socialistic programs in America. Yes, your responses have been drivel.

Please list all the oil subsidies.
