One last wrap-up stat on Purdue/Illinois.

With Saturday's convincing Boiler victory, Purdue now leads the all-time series 48-45-6, having taken 15 of the last 19. It's been a volatile series as before that Illinois had prevailed in 12 of the previous 17.

Interesting point. Most of the original Big10 schools have similar histories/rivalries with other league opponents, be it fb or hoops. Unfortunately, many of these traditional facts will be diminished, if not eliminated, by the need for coastal tv dollars. Am not against progress, nor the reality of college sports today. But, in my opinion, there is a cost, and this is part of what we're losing
