Not nil related but i could see universities playing football in one conference and all other sports in another to reduce travel costs. I believe northern illinois is leaving the mac for the mountain west (football only) and playing in the mvc for all others.Taking away $100 million in tv money would make their problems worse, IMO.

Why would NIL cause this to happen? Northwestern isn't typically competing for Big 10's yet they've never left. A lot more prestige (and $) tied to the larger conferences. TV money rules.Causes schools who can't compete in the conference they're in, to move to a smaller one.
