The review and call against Zach was by far the worst call of the game. You don’t take flopping out of the game if you reward that dive by Mulcahy with 2 shots and the ball.
Thr got hammered in first half and mortin got called for no touch on amoury
I didn't say that there weren't many, just from behind reach around called a jump ball was the arguably the worst.
The B1G refs new rule of thumb, when in doubt, call a jump ball. Lazy and gutless refereeing.
I thought a jump ball was for two guys with hands on the ball facing one another, I agree, unsure what to call, call jump ball, but if Edey gets hit 3 or 4 times with guys swatting at the ball, that's just part of good defense against oversized players....😡
earlier in the half similarly, Edey had a hand on a rebound that their guy pulled around into his gut... foul called on Edey. Just pitiful the inconsistency. And they should be ashamed with the dead ball foul on the flop. The replay showed it was a flop. Think the refs had bet$$$ on Rutgers.... seriously.

There was another one just prior to that where Edey cam down with a rebound and a RU player tried to grab it. He had his hands on the ball for less than a second before Edey yanked it away. Edey was ready to throw the ball down court when the ref blew his whistle and called a jump ball. Not as atrocious as the other call, but still atrocious.

Having the coaches and players do post-game interviews is all well and good, but what I'd really like to see is referees having post-game news conferences defending the calls they made during the game! That would sober them up!

And the officials reviewed it and still made the wrong call. They were unable to see the Rutgers player taking a flop. Just outright terrible officiating.

That’s a joke. You were in the penalty early both halves. They called 3 fouls on RU in four seconds. Painter had the refs in his pocket. It was like 8 against 5 for RU. McConnell fouled out on a clean strip & went over & handed the ball to Painter. As if to say, Big 10 won’t let RU win.

Did you really watch the replay? Hitting the offensive player on the hands or arms is a foul. The way RU was playing it is a wonder only one player fouled out.

They finally called Rutgers for their hack an edey bs. Mulcahy should have been technicalled for continuing to fight Newman after the whistle. It’s not rocket science. Edey did what the refs should have done 3 seconds earlier.
