There was a post on the main rivals board that called out Haas and Hammons for being dirty intentionally. It then went on to talk about how Painter is an awful coach and delved into his personal life. The post got pulled quickly this morning but it was a joke.

I'm not surprised. I'm sure we will be hearing this throughout his career although other coaches know better-even Crean. Haas's size makes him more equivalent to a high school senior playing against 7th graders. However, at some point the Big Ten is going to relish his star power and it will be interesting to see how they officiate next year (being really telegenic and very well spoken in front of the camera will pay dividends for him and Purdue).

Bill, I agree totally. Next year Haas will get more breaks and more calls that don't go against him as the refs realize the kid really is a class person.

If he's here as a Senior, he will dominate the league.

I'm impressed with the change in the way they're calling him from the start of the season. Early in the year the incidental contact would have had him out of the game before halftime. Not so much last night. I believe a couple more games like last night will have defenders rethinking the old wrap and grab. A couple more knockout by elbows will take care of a lot of problems. Couldn't think of anybody in the league that was a better candidate for a lesson than Dawson.

I wonder if Haas is still majoring in Bio-medical engineering? I know he started out with that major.

SI, very true. Also, even the announcer said something like "that is what hpeens when a little guy goes into the fray against a 7'2" rock". If you are going to jump in there this will happen.

All you need to do is look at his reaction when he hit his head. That's not a reaction of a dirty player.
