Them 148 points 47-109 from the field for 43% 18-44 from 3 for 41% 6 turnovers
Us 101 points 35-99 from the field for 35% 19-61 from the field for 31% 21 turnovers
I am not surprised but these are pretty startling/telling numbers. Them EFG 51.3% Us 45%
This sort of debunks the argument about relying on our bigs. I would have thought our guards would have taken way less shots than these guard-centric teams. We are supposed to have all these really good three point shooters who get better shots due to "inside out" basketball yet we shoot a lot worse. Why? You tell me. What did we lose games by in total like 6-8 points? So we shoot 8% worse from 3, score 47 less points and have 15 more T/O's. You can't win spotting the other teams these kind of numbers.
Matt is a metrics guy. To me this screams out that we need better guards more than anything else plaguing us in March.
