USA need to play better D. No blocking out. Lith getting every rebound and way too many second chance points.

They don't look like they want it very badly to me. Not much fire. Have been settling for mid-range pull up jumpers all game. We'll see if they can get a spark down the stretch but a pretty disappointing performance in the championship game thus far.
Nothing falling like the rest of the tourney. Who knows why... worn out legs, finally playing a good team that plays defense, or just a cold shooting night. Good practice for the NCAA tourney.

Completely agree. Still played well up until now so the ability is there to be great. Just look wore out.
CE is faster than anyone out there. Looking like the only hope for PUSA is to start getting every defensive rebound and let CE run the show.
No question Lithuania's offensive rebounding has been the difference. Their PF has 9 of their 17 offensive boards all by himself.
Reading the comments on the stream gives me a better understanding (or lack thereof) of this board. There are a lot of aggressively negative peeps in the internet world.

I'm disappointed we couldn't finish this thing off, but this is good experience for our guys. Hopefully the bad taste of losing in the championship game stays with them all year and leads to something special this season.
Yes and no. Lith shot a lot of long jump shots, which usually result in long rebounds. If you're down inside the paint area, the ball is probably going over your head. Got to be ready to fly to the ball in that situation. The only forward I saw doing that in the 4th quarter was Taylor. Maybe it was tired legs.
Anyone know if these teams we are playing are all college kids as well and if they are all frm 1 collge or a collection of stars from many colleges?
