I always believe athletes hit the books or find courses and right professors to maintain the minimum GPA. Or they take enough online courses to stay eligible. I once tutored a few athletes at Auburn. None of them were ever declared academically ineligible. That might be where I acquired my sour taste towards athletes always wanting others to do their work for them and had zero interest in academics.
I have to believe he will be leaving BYU after this year. I doubt he comes back to Purdue. But you never know
As I think of him , I wonder what % of top 25 prospects become total busts? Is it 80%? Higher? I recall that top 10 guard that went to IU. He was lousy at IU, was still drafted in the NBa and was lousy there too. Not sure what happened to him and I don’t really care. I hope he saved some of his money.
Is Catchings still considered a second round pick?
