Early INT is on him. Out in front of Posey a bit and that's a routine catch.
Disagree. Windy day, ball was in the vicinity and in the air long enough for the receiver to adjust. Posey made a weak high school attempt at the catch. We're just not used to seeing good, physical receiver play.

defender stopped on that run around the end. learned in high school to contain and he stopped allowing lots of room for a big gain.piss poor coaching

was weak, he just put up his 2 arms vertically while not going for the ball.

Hazell doesn't have the fire needed to be a HC. How many times have you ever seen the guy throw his headset or get visibly upset because the team is playing poorly? The team takes on the personality of its head coach...and this team doesn't have one because it's coach doesn't have one.

I don't know if I can blame the game-time coaching for this defensive display. There were multiple times our guys were in position to make a tackle, and they just can't wrap the guy. That TD was also a good defensive call but the QB threw a perfect ball. Not much you can do about that.

We need to figure out what to do on 3rd down. They're converting short, long, medium. Any third down. Still a long game. Last week we played better in the second half defensively.

As a Purdue fan, every game seems like a long game.

I can see some potential on offense if Blough and the WRs keep developing with experience. They could be pretty good later this season.

On defense, I just don't see much. Not a ton of talent and what we do have is hidden behind absolutely dreadful coaching and schemes.

On competence of offense in the red zone failure on def. We should be competing this game but we are getting btfo

I up my estimate of board suicides by 15. Did you guys really expect something different?

This has been mentioned a number of times, but we really need a different type of personality with our next coach. It's so frustrating seeing the lack of fire from anyone involved in this program. Losing should bother a competitor.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see anyone freaking out about anything. Just people making observations on a game that unfortunately shows a great deal of incompetence so far. Kind of what a game thread is for.

We need the same second half D we saw last week to come out of the locker room or we're toast. The offense should be able to put some points on the board but we have got to get some stops.

So you would feel better if the coach was more upset with poor play? I'd feel better if we just had a coach that had us prepared to play well most of the time.

Until I feel more confident that we will actually bring in a coach capable of winning, I'll manage my expectations and just hope for one that isn't indifferent with awful performance.

Plenty of examples of coaches with calm demeanor that do well. It would give me no great solace if Hazell were out there yelling at everyone for things that are ultimately his responsibility anyway. Never been a big fan of coaches that make an ass of themselves on the sideline like Brian Kelly BUT when it comes down to it Brian Kelly has his team ready to play so he wins quite a bit.

I don't get angry, sad or any emotion anymore. Its apparent Purdue, and they will openly admit if you attend some functions, does not plan to taks collegiate athletics serious anymore. For that reason, I no longer buy athletic gear, or attend games. My last trips have been to support the school of Engineering and all donation have been marked as such.

Ok here's my positive post: Domo has played well in the first half and zero penalties.

When the OL gives Blough that much time he needs to find someone open on 3rd and 5. Especially in a 4th down zone. That throw was unnecessary (and short).
