How about the green eyeshade with the Charlie Brown shirt?

Hey, why not?

I agree that Burke shouldn't be trusted with hiring the next coach. He has done a terrible job with the last two. The tricky part is that Burke will be retiring in two years. I am sure the new AD will want to hire his own football coach. Purdue is in a position were they can't wait to do that though.

Are they still doing the 211 sessions?? They ought to rename it "Purdue 911" (as in Reno 911)!

Here is the PERFECT theme song for it:

Guys, enough of the slandering and libelous on the AD!!! The pictures are creative and humorous but, enough, your point has been made! Yes, we need a change-so many people never know when to hang it up a la Bowden, Paterno, Landry or try the group at Michigan prior to Harbaugh. Yes, he made some bad decisions but, he IS a PURDUE man and I am certain he wishes he had done some things differently. Civility needs to return and he needs to retire before ANYTHING can happen with football staff.

Ugh! Where to start? First and foremost, NO ONE has slandered or libled the AD; I suggest that you look up the definitions of both words (and then learn how to use them in their proper tense). Also, word search the term "public figure" (not that it matters, because saying "Burke Needs Fired" is NOT libel!). Secondly, if anyone had libeled Captain Morgan on Gold & Black.com, the moderator would probably have the libelous post deleted in an instant and maybe even ban the poster who composed it... and I WOULD BE ALL FOR IT.

Why are you bringing up successful, winning coaches and administrators and comparing them to this failure?? It makes ZERO sense, it's like you are comparing butterflies to a stink bug! And because Burke "IS a PURDUE man", no one can criticize or question the TERRIBLE job and harm the he has caused to Purdue athletics?? That kind of foolish thinking is what has allowed all this DAMN NONSENSE to happen in the first place and it is high time to put an end to it once and for all!! We NEED A CHANGE BECAUSE WE ARE FAILING MISERABLY HERE!

And until that change happens, well, GUESS WHAT:

I'm a Purdue man also. Does that qualify me to be our athletic director?

I mentioned Paterno, Bowden, Landry (Brandon at Michigan with Hoke and RR weren't considerd successful by most). I only list them because even they didn't know when to retire, successful or not. It is obvious MB doesn't know when to retire either. For a myriad number of reasons he needs to go 1st before we can address the football issue, so we don't disagree in that sense.

I agree, Burke needs to retire now. It would be in the best interest for the program.

New Pal..........Pls don't bring logic into a discussion of abysmal failure. Bob Commings was an Iowa guy, played on a winning Iowa Rose Bowl team, but not a successful coach. We all wanted him to be, as I am sure you all want Capt. Morgan to be successful. BTW - Courthouse Carp is a malcontent. I know this because I am completely discontented with Kirk Ferentz. Good luck to you Boilermakers. Old gold and black forever !!

You show me anyone who is content with failure, and I will show you the PURDUE BIRD OF TRUSTEES:

Bob Commings must have been on Iowa's swim team too??

Hey T-Hawk - Why is it that Nike can produce a great OLD GOLD color for Iowa's throwback uniforms, and yet somehow can't come up with the same color for Purdue uniforms and fan wear?? (Hint: It's NOT Nike's fault!!)

Your talent level is at the bottom of the Big Ten. If you want to delude yourself into believing otherwise, that's fine, but it won't change the fact that your issues start with the abilities of your players. Very few of your players had other Big Ten offers, and that's reflected in your relative competitiveness. Those are simply facts, whether you accept them or not.
I know you hate to hear negative comments coming from an IU fan but he's right about the state of our program. The simple fact is we do not have the talent to compete. We have MAC caliper players who are mediocre athletes. Hazel has to bring in athletes who can compete with other Big Ten schools.

It IS... much more symbolic, good call!

Perfection! +10,000! I think that visual says all anyone would need to know about the state of the program! I like to see that on a cheap T-shirt just in time for the IU game. For those that go just to the tailgate not the game. I'm going to try and print this out on my letterhead and send to Daniels and BOT with a simple FIX THIS on it.

I think this should be titled DFTFU "Dumpster Fire The Fk UP!" Kinda Like Boiler The ---- Up!

Hilarious! One suggestion, if you please -- THE Ohio Players. Remember when Elmer Fudd sang Bruce Springsteen "Fire" -- ??? Wish Elmer would sing THE Ohio Players.

Actually it is "THEE Ohio Players", simply because that is how awesome they were and they commanded a "THEE" in their title! Oh yes, Elmer Fudd singing the Boss's "Fire" is a classic. I'd rather hear Elmer Fudd sing Arthur Brown's "Fire":

Better yet, I think we need to hear Porky Pig sing "Blue Christmas" (you know, since that's what we Boiler fans are headed for):

Hey, what brings you tenants of the penthouse down to the Boiler room in the basement? Did you come down to have a smoke, see how us less fortunate common folk are getting along? It's probably about getting perspective/keeping it real, I guess. We are "managing our expectations" down here, but it's not a very pretty scene at the moment since we don't have any expectations anymore. Either way, welcome! Pull up a chair and hang out.

Nice avatar that you have there, any idea when it came about? If I didn't know any better, I would swear that it was Walter Lantz's work.

Please, Carp......try not to end your sentences in prepositions. People may think you an IU grad. Or UI (me).

Who are you, my third-grade English teacher, Mrs. Miller?

I'm pretty sure that I didn't end a sentence with a preposition; I'd be much more mindful of it if I knew my posts were being graded. :)

None of that is realistic, nor is any of it happening. Burke will serve until his planned retirement, regardless of what ultimately occurs with your football program.
Yes, sure. You are a well known IU troll. I think you might be better off staying over on Peegs.

Burke will probably give out gas vouchers to Nebraska fans making the trip. It's all about revenue, right?

ONLY if those Nebraska fans attend the "Purdue 911" session will they be given the gas vouchers (hey, SOMEONE has to attend that lame event!). Those Husker fans are in for a real treat though, because Captain Morgan will be in costume as LT. FAILBE...

Our worst 11:11 nightmare:

Looks like Burke dusted off the "ECON 101 - Opportunity Loss" spreadsheet and did some number crunching. $6M buyout > Empty 2016 stadium. No power 5 conference athletic dept earns more TV money by doing less than the Purdue athletic dept. A great collective effort by everyone involved in this heist.

Exactly what does firing the OC and DC accomplish? Just retire Morgan and coach high school diving.
