turn out, but one thing that must not be ignored is the complete lack of quality depth. We are playing with five women. We get next to nothing from the potentially ten other players allowed pursuant to NCAA roster rules. That should not happen with a coach that has been here a dozen years. Why has it happened should be the question.

Yep that tells the tale. Kind of sad for the starters. They came back 14 straight to put it in OT but just could not. Missed a lot of fts and Rutgers didn't.
But you have to give it to the girls that played; Rutgers beat MD handily on the road and Purdue gave them all they could handle on the road. Unfortunately we do not get a home game with them. But the Rutgers D is superb ( and I was thinking Stringer was over the hill) and was the difference in the game. We're still near the top of the BT and a win over Indiana will make a difference. I can't do anything about Versyp's recruiting and it does seem possible that she will have depth next year with a veteran team, but can't fault the way this team is competing.

Remembering too that a Rutgers player hit about a 40 ft 3 at the end of first half in a 2 pt win. Gotta have some luck too.
