Could you please just shut up. It's embarrassing to people who went to Andrean that you spew such stupid unresearched, kardashian style drivel. You said,

IU is one of the top five or ten jobs in the Country. No Dan it isn't. That's the five year old in you talking about the IU of the seventies and eighties. IU hasn't been elite for 20 years or since Pepperdine took once mighty IU out of the tournament.

You talk about the IU tree and why it needs to be someone familiar. I always get a laugh out of stuff like that. Hey Dan, where did IU's best coach go to school? Here is a hint, it wasn't IU.

Finally to the notion it is still the best job in the Big, no it isn't that either. MSU, OSU, Wisconsin are the three best right now. I could argue that your collective fan base is so illiterate and stupid it simply isn't the great fans people like you crow about. Screaming at Haas about his sister, yelling the N word (don't say you didn't hear it Dan), giving the kid from Maryland racial taunting, those aren't great fans.

You will get a good coach or at least a upgrade. Maybe even Alford will take the job. But no one clambers to Bloomington any more simply because you and fans like you won't admit that you are no longer elite and it's tough to meet untrue and unfounded expectations. SO SHUT UP!

Ha! I hope they do hire Alford. He wouldn't be a home run hire by any means and his past at Iowa would also remove any illusion that IU does things the right way.

Welcome home Steve!

Would love to see Alford in Bloomington. Hope they don't get Archie or Marshall.

Anyone that already has a decent job, would be a fool to go there after they fire a coach that won the league 2 of the last 4 years and has injuries to key players.

That could be an issue, but I don't think it will be a major one.

I'm sure guys like Marshall and Archie Miller are plenty confident in what they can accomplish given the resources available at Indiana. Plus, we're not talking about a major rebuild here. Even if Bryant leaves, Indiana should be competitive next year.

Every one thought Shaka Smart was a confident coach also.... Just sayin.
