Grades and Such
• Center Gus Hartwig was Purdue's highest-graded offensive player, with his best grade in a non-Indiana State game. Spencer Holstege also graded very well.

• This was Payne Durham's highest overall grade of the season, despite a poor pass-protection sub-grade.

• Poor grades for the running backs in pass protection, as was the case earlier in the season before a solid past couple of games.

• Even though Purdue allowed 15 quarterback pressures, offensive linemen largely graded well or at least solid, though Marcus Mbow didn't have his best day. This was his worst game grade of the season. Mahamane Moussa was docked for allowing five pressures and Eric Miller three.

Purdue Passing Game
• Purdue again didn't complete a pass that traveled 20 or more yards down the field, going 0-for-3, all thrown deep right.

• Aidan O'Connell was 16-of-21 for 225 yards and a touchdown throwing short middle (Payne Durham country).

• Aidan O'Connell's passing splits
Clean: 25-30, 302 yards, TD, INT
Pressure: 5-12, 58, TD
No Blitz: 20-29, 202
Blitz: 10-13, 158, 2 TD, INT

Concept ...
Playaction: 6-9, 73 yards
No playaction: 24-33, 287, 2 TD, INT
Screen: 2-2, 1 yard
No Screen: 28-40, 359, 2 TD, INT

• Two drops for Purdue, one by Devin Mockobee and the other being the interception off the hands of Charlie Jones, though that ball was thrown behind him.

• Purdue averaged 7.5 yards after the catch.

• In the running game, Purdue averaged a mere 1.67 yards after contact.

GRADES
• Reese Taylor was actually Purdue's highest-graded defender among those who played high-volume snaps — Bryce Hampton and Cole Brevard were 1-2, but on limited snaps — with Khordae Sydnor next up, and Cory Trice behind him. There were no really good grades on defense. Linebackers Jacob Wahlberg and Semisi Fakasiieiki didn't grade well at all. Wahlberg was docked for three of Purdue's nine missed tackles.

• Jack Sullivan accounted for five of Purdue's 17 QB pressures.

• Maryland averaged a modest 2.68 yards after contact in the run game.

• Taulia Tagovailoa's passing splits ...
Clean: 20-27, 151 yards, 2 TD, INT (worst grade)
Pressured: 6-11, 164, TD (best grade)
