Dakich

Can he be an antagonist? Sure, but he is also an on-air personality so the more listeners the more revenue his show generates. He also plays on the Purdue faithfuls emotions especially when it comes to Indiana's tourney success compared to Purdue.

And that is the issue with him for me. I can't stand the Radio personality Jockitch, so I'm not going to like him on TV either. And you saw what happened at MSU, which came up again during the Purdue broadcast, you can't separate the two.

At the end of the day, he is an egotistical jackass who says only people who played or coached knows what going on in a game which is complete crap as there a lot of people who have been around the game their entire life, so they do understand it really well. His ego gets in the way of him being good, so I have to turn down the volume when he does games.

Here is the thing Bonefish, my buds and I are convinced there is no way that Blazing Saddles gets made in today's PC world.

I think smart people actually understand the humor and that it's not racist. However, you'd have plenty of those whiney ass college running for their safe spaces and screaming about micro-aggressions if they see it.

Gus Johnson was cool for like 2 years....maybe.

The people that like to hear Gus Johnson still today are the same people that thought Stuart Scott's lame catch phrases were entertaining after like 1999.

Stuart Scott was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Dakitch has grown on me, but I do like Steve Bardo --- for games. He can be kindof wooden in the studio.

Plus, when Bardo calls a game @ Mackey Arena, his pbp partner invariably and good-naturedly refreshes his memory that he went 0-4 there with the Illini. Bardo always seemingly takes it in stride.

The first college basketball game that I ever remember watching was Purdue's home win over the Illini in January 1990 (Bardo's senior season). My dad, brother, and cousin went to the game and I watched it at home with my mom. Then the Boilers lost the next five times they played Illinois and I started to really dislike guys like Andy Kaufmann, Deon Thomas, Rennie Clemons, and so forth, lol.

Excuse me while I whip this out

Where are all the white women?

So damn funny..."A laurel and hearty handshake..." The gasping as he whips it out.

Apparently Bart's last line in the scene with Madeline Kahn was supposed to have been "I hate to disappoint you, ma'am, but you're sucking on my arm."
hep me hep me...somebody hep me

There must be something wrong with me, I am really starting to like this guy and pretty much hope he does all our games. He praises our players, coaches, fans, atmosphere, just about everything. Who doesn't like to be stroked! I'm waiting for him to turn around and look at our alumni and say these are some damned attractive SOBs. His game time analysis is pretty good. Talking Biggee's post moves, why IU wouldn't work the ball into Bryant more, why would you not press us if you could, Dakota's smarts, Blackmons horrible defensive positioning, etc.
Maybe he plans on running for office in Indiana. He is praising Butler, Purdue, went to IU, and next he'll start loving on Notre Dame...

I have learned to accept Dakich as okay for me. He appreciates hard work so he likes our teams. When he likes you, it's apparent and a plus. He can say some stupid things but they all do. Now Bill Walton is like finger nails on chalkboards to me. He won't shut up with weird comments. He seems like he had 7 bong hits before the games.
