I like your posts but can't compare our program to those 2 teams, it's a domino's game , and we are somewhere in the middle.

If we miss out on both Miles or Fleck. Do as Trump states, "Scorched earth at Purdue and fire the hell out of everyone as this would be an embarrassment" this will continue to be the black hole of college football for the foreseable future. That is IMHO.

I wanted to make a bucket list for games I'd like to see Purdue play at (BTW, I went to Pasadena in '01 for the record). We screw this up and I'll switch allegiances to UW-Madison as I'm tired of this poorly managed front office. If it plays out and we get Fleck or Miles, I'll take everything back.
I just can't see that Miles will come our way as it would have been an easy announcement already. That leaves us with Fleck and/or Schiano and I'm not big on Schiano at this point. Like it or not, we entered the arms race for a coach and we're losing in my view at this juncture.

After seeing what our money bought us on the AD search I wouldn't be surprised to see them recommend re hiring Hazell for $3M.

Not all of us did. I felt it was completely inconsequential.

No disrespect to you. I expected a hired search firm to have the deal layed out and a signed contract on 11/26/16 for an announcement. At a minimum, I wanted the AD to say expect announcement on "X" date at a news conference. Neither of those happened and that is piss poor communications from the top down.

Weis is still making money from ND. I think last year he was a top 10 paid coach nationally from ND and Kansas.

I totally agree with this post. We have been working on this half of the season, it is the priority of our AD, we hired a specialty firm to advise us--and we have nothing??? Just taking the next domino to fall seems ridiculous. Unless we have a top secret plan to wait so as to get Sumlin, this just seems like the same old, same old Morgan Burke MO.

I'd save the ledge for Monday night. If nothing by Monday afternoon, then maybe there's an issue.

I fully expect something tomorrow or Monday morning.
