The topic has come up previously regarding the priority (or lack thereof) placed on athletics by the president and BoT and its impact on football and the athletic department as a whole. In today's press conference, Burke made several mentions about the constraints the new AD will operate under at Purdue. I think many of us have a good feel for where Mitch stands on these issues. The unknown to many of us is the members of the BoT. Your average Purdue fan, including myself, knows very little about these people.
Below is the list of names from the Purdue website. Would really appreciate any insight as far as how "into" athletic success each of these people might be. My intent is not for this to turn nasty but to educate the average fan on which members of the board may be the best advocates for the success of Purdue athletics and which may not have any interest.
Sonny Beck
Michael Berghoff (Chairman)
JoAnn Brouillette
Vanessa Castagna
John Hardin, Jr.
Michael Klipsch
Gary Lehman
Cameron Mann
Thomas Spurgeon (Vice Chairman)
Don Thompson
