Biggie Who? Josh Jackson Crystal Ball Now Trending To MSU

Fans that post on other teams message boards need to get lives/jobs/girlfriends, etc. I barely have time to post on my own team's board much less some other team. I've never even considered it to be honest.

I post on boards of teams of which I am a fan. I am one of the few people on this board that actually calls himself a fan of IU. Now don't get me wrong, There is no doubt about who I root for when Purdue plays IU, but against all others, I will root for IU. Of course, Tom Crean has made this very difficult for me because I can't stand the guy.

I do find time to post occationally on Peegs. When I do, I try to be respectful of the fan base. I am usually treated reasonably, although they do have their children, just like we do. Also, when I post, the topic is IU basketball, and not Purdue basketball, unless someone has already started a thread on the subject. If I want to talk Purdue basketball, I do so on the GBI board.

This MSU flake is way off course, and nicely played the fool when he compared MSU's recruits to the Fab Five. He failed in so many ways. The FF's lack of winning anything + cheating scandal associated with the FF made it an unintended jole of a post. All it showed was how butt-hurt he was about losing Swanagan.

Izzo is a POS. He protects more crimes than any coach in basketball. Gee, the punishment for a Dui is a free trip to Italy.
Don't forget fighting and damaging hotel property equals hurry up get on the bus before the cops show.

Not a chance. Izzo doesn't cheat. Great coach and a phenomenal 2016 class coming in. Couldn't happen to a more deserving coach than Izzo. Biggie missed out on being coach by a future HOF coach and a very good chance of playing for the national championship the next few seasons. His loss imo.
Izzo will probably be a HOF coach, but Calipari is one now too. There are people in this area that feel he is a saint and UK wins cleanly. Winning games does not make people a saint, but it sure helps some to be able to look the other way.

There's a very good chance of Biggie playing for the championship this year at Purdue.

Are we still talking about men's basketball?
Your 4th post and you are having trouble following a conversation, a conversation actually in writing? Buddy, this is like an open book test with no time limit. Sounds like you might be from one of those schools at the bottom of the BIG academically. Sorry, maybe we can slow down and use smaller words.

Izzo was suspended a couple games for recruiting violations because he had to cheat to land Dawson. Fact.

He was suspended ONE game because Carlton Valentine (Denzel's Dad and a HS coach) was paid the same exact salary that every other coach got for working the MSU camp. Had nothing to do with Dawson.

Whoa buddy! You better watch it with the baseless accusations about the MSU basketball program. Ok? Izzo runs a class program and refuses to provide personal chefs to recruits which is the rumor being floated about regarding Biggie Swanigan. We all know Biggie wanted to go to MSU, but it was his guardian Rosie Barnes who talked him into going to Purdue, which is his alma mater.
Yea Purdue provided him with a personal chef:)

No, what's sad is people accusing innocent Spartan basketball players of rape. What's sad is implying improper payoffs to Branden Dawson. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Dawson turned down the home state team Purdue and decided to attend MSU instead. Could it be that Dawson decided he wanted to play for a future Hall of Fame coach in Izzo? Could it be that Dawson wanted to play for a team that goes deep into the NCAA tournament every year? If you're honest about the whole situation and take off your Black and Old Gold colored glasses, most of you would have done the same thing Dawson did and signed with the superior basketball program in MSU. No one has ever been charged in any rape, so let it rest. I'm sure Izzo sleeps very well at night in his mansion, knowing he runs a clean & one of the most respected basketball programs in the nation. :)
Yup innocent MSU players:

That is true, but what is also true is that the NCAA never bothered to look into how Dawson spent so many weekends at MSU when the kid barely had enough money for sneakers. Plus, it always slays me that MSU fans don't know that the origin of the Dawson recruitment being dirty came directly from their own fans.

FYI. Izzo made a 2 million $ pledge that he welched on to a public institution. That is fact. He still hasn't paid a nickel over they years. His name resides on the institution list of those that support the institution but are waiting for his donation to arrive. They can wish with one hand $hit in the other and lets see which one fills up first.

How do you know he hasn't given any of his donated money to the school yet?

The real reason I am bumping this thread is to provide you Jalen Rose's quotes recalling his recruitment and his official visit to MSU. He talked about it (along with visits to Michigan and UNLV) when discussing the Louisville debacle. Also, he wasn't necessarily proud of it. Just said that is how he was as a 17 year old kid.

"Yes, there is drinking.Yes, there are members of the opposite sex there. They are trying to woo me to campus. What you see at a bachelor party is what is happening on a visit. If I'm not getting laid, I'm not coming. I'm not signing with you."

And who was the recently promoted to Assosciate Head Coach at MSU when they were recruiting Jalen? After serving as an assistant for oh-so-may years prior. None other than our squeaky clean Saint Izzo. Interesting that his official visits were to UM (known and proven cheaters from that era),UNLV, and MSU. lol. All beholden to the mighty Saint Izzo!

IIRC, Dawson said he choose MSU because they would pay for his visits and Purdue wouldn't. Well, only the "official visit" is paid for by the school - you get one of those per school I think. Any "unofficial" visits cannot be paid for by the school, yet there is Dawson at MSU on unofficial visits, using this impermissible benefit as the specific reason he chose MSU over Purdue. Just wow.

It was the MSU trolls who were here and on Peegs talking about dirty recruiting when they thought he might go to Purdue. When he chooses MSU, what do we hear? ...crickets?? That's okay, it is just that smell of hypocracy when those MSU guys come over here and throw around things like "personal cheif" that bothers me.

He also said he didn't want to be stuck down low rebounding. Didn't he lead the big ten last year in rebounds

I didn't say it was to the school. It was a charitable organization which in my eyes makes it worse.

yikes. agree that is worse. Your original post referenced a donation pledge to a public institution. i incorrectly assumed that was MSU. What charitable org was it? And how do you know he didn' fulfill his pledge?

No one said it was dirty if he ended up at Purdue. It was dirty if he went to Marquette because of Buzz William's bag man.

You remember this situation the way you would have liked it to be. You are incorrect. MSU posters accused Painter of dirty recruiting. That's when I started t lose respect for your program. I would say most Purdue fans admired the MSU program up until that point. Don't be pulling that revisionist history crap here.

And they claimed that Izzo gave up on Dawson because his recruiting had gotten dirty. Suddenly, with all of this dirty recruiting (according to MSU fans), he ends up signing with MSU.

Yawn. Classless players that get what they want as long as they win. Rape, Mom's driving new SUV's. Really?
Class......less

Jerry Meyer and Sean Scherer crystal balled 2016 #1 recruit Josh Jackson to Michigan State last night. Tom Izzo is in the process of assembling his own version of The Fab Five with his class of 2016. Michigan State insider Sean Scherer is now predicting Josh Jackson to MSU in a package deal with top 10 recruit Miles Bridges. If Bridges and Jackson commit to MSU as predicted, it will solidify Tom Izzo's best recruiting class ever. MSU's 2016 class would also be the best Big Ten class assembled in the last 25 years, since the 1991
U-of M Fab Five class. Bridges and Jackson are friends and played on Team USA together. Once Bridges pledges to MSU (over Kentucky and IU) on Oct 3rd, he is going to put the full court press on Jackson to join him at MSU to form a Super Class along with Cassius Winston, Josh Langford and Nick Ward. The 5 freshmen along with a strong returning cast will make MSU the prohibitive favorites for the National Championship in 2016-2017. Izzo's a great coach who deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and deserves his 2nd national title, because he does things the right way, with integrity and class. If Biggie Swanigan did not decommit from the Spartans, MSU would never be in position to land both Bridges and Jackson. Purdue landed a good player in Swanigan, but I would take Bridges and Jackson over him any day of the week. This potential MSU recruiting class of 2016 would be epic and will be a handful to deal with, especially if Josh Jackson joins on board. Goes to show you nice guys (Izzo) don't always finish last. #The Class
Probably shouldn't put too much trust into the Crystal ball hype, it's hypothetical posturing based on little fact.

DaGreenLantern, I think you forgat to add your thoughts to the post. I guess you just wanted to bump the "butt-hurt" part of this dialog, eh?

By the way, As I recall from my childhood, Green Lantern was always the whimpiest of the comic book dudes, and the movie was even worse than the comic books. Bad acting, bad script, and terrible direction. Gee that sounds like MSU just a little bit.
