Actually, I doubt very much that people with job-relevant disabilities are allowed to be air traffic controllers. An air traffic controller pretty much sits in a chair, looks at a screen and talks through a headset. Someone in a wheelchair, or with one arm, could certainly do the job. Tell us the "job-relevant disabilities" that you are talking about. I think you're full of sh1t.
Actually DEI did play a small part. Once DEI was brought in, many people in the DC tower quit and walked away. The DC tower has been understaffed for almost 2 years now. Typically they have a person working each type of aircraft, but in this case, one guy was working both the helicopters and the planes. He was overworked because they couldn't find anyone to fill the spots that were vacated.

Pres O rejected 1000 air traffic controllers under his admin because they didn't fit racial quotas he put in. And towers consequentially are short staffed and doing too much OT ever since. DANGEROUS

She was the only commissioned officer on the chopper and almost certainly the pilot. The other officer was a warrant officer and probably the co-pilot. The other crew member was a NCO, a non-pilot.
Wow, Trump nailed this on Day One. The chopper pilot was a DEI hire and the air traffic controllers were understaffed due to "too many white applicants."

Removing DEI will set the country back decades to where white folks will go back to unfair hiring practices excluding non-whites. It was never merit based then and won’t be merit based if DEI is removed.

Yeah, I don't think just because she was a woman, that it was a DEI issue. Plenty of very good female pilots. Plenty of very good pilots of all races and creeds. I'd need more direct evidence that the person was hired because of a diversity need AND they wouldn't have qualified otherwise.
She was the Co-Pilot. The Yahoo article that you linked stated as much. One of the men was an instructor and pilot in charge.

That's the problem with this DEI blaming crap. Y'all immediately assume that when a black person or other minority or gender is in that role, they are less qualified. Most blacks, minorities, or women who did get hired due to affirmative action or DEI are hired because they are qualified. Just like hiring mostly white males, some unqualified may slide through the cracks. But y'all don't care about that as many white males have jacked stuff up. How many in the history of aviation have white males been the cause of some of these crashes?

I wasn't the one who tried to hide her identity, marital status and lifestyle from the public following the crash. Her family did that. My Army career began in 1973 and since that time I've seen countless service members perish in the line of duty but never before, not once, have I seen the surviving family try to conceal the identity of the deceased soldier.
The helicopter may well be the cause. However, were they flying 100 feet above because of Lobach, or because of one of the 2 white dudes in helicopter? You don’t know do you?
