Exactly what I thought. Odd question to ask what hotel college kids are staying at, lol. No offense to the OP, but just sounds somewhat creepy

I don't think it's necessarily creepy. Several bowl games, tournaments, etc. have "team hotels" that have festivities surrounding it. When I went to the Alabama game, the team did a send off/pep rally at their hotel for the game. A couple other teams advertise their team hotel.

Bowl games always have a team hotel....just want to support the team and be around fellow Boilermakers.
