How are practices going, how do individuals look, Etc, Etc.
Would like up-Date

they are going great ! Although some would say our new recruits are better than advertised, which is making some posters believe they should start over our seniors. and that is a very good situation to be in.

Creighton Burns....sounds like one of those characters from a '70s thriller like Marathon Man or Three Days of the Condor......Mr. Burnzzz.

All kidding aside, here's some info from a few years ago when he was with Spring Arbor University:

"Burns, a Columbia City, Indiana native has made coaching stops in four states including Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan. He has received numerous coaching honors including Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 1988.

A lifelong student and teacher of the game, Burns published his first basketball article in 1978 with his most recent publication in March of 2011. For the past several years Creighton has emailed his own newsletters to countless coaches at all levels around the world.

Creighton began coaching in 1958 while he was a high school student. Burns served as the Cromwell Junior High School head coach for two years.

Burns played both basketball and baseball at Purdue University from 1960-64. He then spent three years in the Minnesota Twins organization before an arm injury in 1967 cost him the chance to play in the major leagues. Creighton opted to pursue his basketball coaching career instead of going through a lengthy rehab stint.

Burns earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education in 1964. He minored in Biology and Social Studies. Creighton received his Master's Degree in Secondary Education in 1973 from St. Francis University (IN)."

The Games are held Aug. 19-30. It's like a smaller version of the Olympics -- held biennially -- with approximately 10,000 people competing (Purdue fans can watch games online). The opener is vs. Argentina (schedule here) on Aug. 20 at 5:30 a.m. ET. They will play five games before the quarterfinals start Aug. 27, with the gold medal game on Aug. 29.

Kansas won this event two years ago, beating Germany for the gold. So the pressure's on Purdue, which still has talent despite Caleb Swanigan's departure for the NBA. Matt Painter brings back Vincent Edwards, Carsen Edwards, Dakota Mathias and P.J. Thompson, a group that once again could contend in the Big Ten. Purdue will get critical experience, and likely a distinct advantage over the rest of the country heading into the season.

schedule is here http://www.purduesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/pur-m-baskbl-sched.html
