Another great example of a time we should have gone zone

We could not stop them at all, they shot probably the best shooting percentage in their last 5 seasons against us. Instead of switching SOMETHING UP... we stay in man to man.

This season is yet another lost one. True good teams win vs inferior teams on the road, we are proving we can't do that. The big ten is viewed as shit tier this year... and we are going to struggle to finish top 2 or 3 in it. That means we are looking at an 8 seed in the tourney. We will be yet another 1 and done in the tournament. Bye bye Biggie, and hello middle of the pack big ten.

Not the coach's fault though, nope

STFU about zone already.

Like zone is some magic pill. How bout play just better defense. If anything I think Purdue switches way to quick. Stay on your man. They assume the double team and leave an open passing lane to the open uncovered player way to often.

hindsight is always 20/20, but i agree that mixing it up would have at least made them change things up. they were very effective at putting Biggie or Haas on the pick and roll and we couldn't put any resistance up. Good coaching by Fran. Love Biggie and love Haas, but neither guy is laterally quick enough to stop it.

playing monday morning qb, it would have been interesting to have a box and 1 following Jok. At least it would make someone else or something else beat us.
