First I want to thank everyone for putting up with my opinions and positive Purdue positions on things.

That being said here are some of my thoughts going forward:

1) Purdue will beat Kansas....not sure by how much but as in my mind 1 point is as good as a hundred so just win.

2) Biggie will be going Pro after this year and not be coming back and I say thank you to him and proud to call him a Boilermaker and glad we are part of such a great Boiler family.

3) J. Taylor will get healthy and will kick ass and be an asset to this team for the next two years. Love that young man and the effort and pride he has for everything Purdue! Wish more had his passion and love for Purdue.

4) Lastly, I wish that we could all just get along......seriously we can all have different opinions but we need to respect them and remember at the end of the day we are all part of the same great Purdue Family.........it upsets me when I meet people now and have to be hesitant to call them a positive Purdue family member.....didn't used to be that way, every Boiler you met you felt like family. Now a days you need to qualify them because some are just outright negative.......

I say Boiler Up to all and please when your thinking negative about Purdue click this link:

I enjoy your posts and don't give up being positive. This forum needs it in the worst way, especially after a loss with the emotional rants that go on. The real key thing to remember with the negativity is that those posters really have egg on their face right now and are a bit more 'agitated' now, so they are easily set off.

Keep up the good work with your posts. It has been a great run this year regardless of what goes on Thursday.

To add one point to Chevy's bold predictions for the future:

Next year will prove that the class of Vincent Edwards, Isaac Haas, Dakota Mathias, and PJ Thompson is far more than just the supporting cast for Caleb Swanigan. Purdue will compete for the B1G championship and make the Sweet 16 next year without Biggie.

Very good post. This coming from a guy that used to think Glass half full most of the time, but in recent years struggled with that mindset quite a bit. Would love nothing better than to beat Kansas in Kansas City. It will be a tall order, but look at Wisconsin, they took down Villanova in Villanova's backyard.
Rick Astely's 80's. As long as we're in the 80's, Back at ya!

Reminds me of a little team post Big Dog that was led to a Big championship by Ryan Berning. Am I on target with this random thought?

PU52Chevy - the most optimistic poster on this forum. Thank you buddy, your positive disposition is really appreciated

I will second rgarlitz's prediction and hope the team will do even better than that

For Dakota Girl: Ryan Berning played on the 1989-90 team with Steve Scheffler. That team lost to Michigam State in the final regular season game and finished 2nd behind MSU. Big Dog played from 1992 to 1994.

Took me back to 1982-1983. Had a nephew that had a good bball freshman year and slipped some his sophomore year...hit the weights the next summer and had another good year the next two years...this was his song working out.... ;)

Ya, but Porter Roberts, Brandon Brantley, Todd Foster, Roy Harriston, Justin Jennings, Cuonzo Martin, and Matt Waddell were all part of that band of "nobodies" that won the B1G in 1995 and 1996.

Those are still some of my all-time favorite Purdue players even though they struggled in the NCAA tournament after Big Dog left.

I love your support of Taylor and know he showed a ton of promise in HS. Here's hoping your dreams for him comes true and he makes us forget that Swanigan left early.

I agree just Taylor in Biggies spot.

I always enjoy your posts. For some reason, there's a disproportionate amount of negativity on this board toward the program and the coach, and your posts always provide a breath of fresh air. There's nothing wrong with being positive about these players and these coaches. In fact, there's everything right with being positive. I also find your recruiting insights very valuable.

You're one of the good ones, sir. Please keep posting.

Ouch. That team didn't lose the championship. They got robbed.

During the tourney against Texas, Steve had a horrible shooting night for him and I still see Panama Jones swatting Tony Jone's layup at the end. Lance Blanks and the little pg from Indiana along with Panama Jones were tough on Purdue. It was teh first game in Breslin when Dwayne Stephens raped Scheffler ?? at half court

Yes. Purdue had the lead and the ball was in Sheffler's hands. He was a great FT shooter. Judd told his players to foul, so they did, over and over. The MSU players admitted it in the press conference after the game. The refs handed them the game and the B10 championship.

And Travis Mays was the 3rd guard for UT.

Another great trip down memory lane here...IIRC, I slightly "damaged" some accessories over that Michigan State game fiasco.

Congrats, Chevy.....keep em coming. And go JT!
