Carmin said Madison has been working out at Purdue with Coach G watching her, sounds like there’s a chance she returns next year. Let’s be honest, she averaged 10 her last year, she’d likely start.

If she's healthy, I would love for Madison to come back next year.

IF she comes back Madison would likely be the best player on the team next year, even over whatever portals we get. My worry is if she catches on with another program trying to reach the field of 64 for once in her career, will McKenna follow her? (IMO losing in the play in game is not really making the NCAA tournament, its an audition to the tourney and we failed it)

Good post that I agree with, I’m hoping the Reynolds sisters and likely Harper are all that leave, Madison for a year would be fine, she’s certainly better than any transfer Purdue brought in last year, that in itself is sort of good I suppose.

Correct, my buddy who was a high school coach said the Sr in High School wasn’t all that many thought as well. Hope they prosper elsewhere, I doubt it though.

I really think Madison was worn down/injured at the end of last season. She needed the rest and to not play a bunch of meaningless games. I'm not a huge fan of Layden as a basketball player. She is talented and would help with our perimeter shooting. She is just lifeless out on the court and those are not the players I'm drawn to. I think it's just best that she goes some place else and we find some more athletic players. This team desperately needs to become more athletic. Madison doesn't help with that.

It wasn’t necessary for Madison to enter the portal if she was returning to Purdue. Rumors are Butler. Parkinson hasn’t done well.

Does this year count for her though? She seemed to be content to sideline herself most of the season. If it doesn’t count and she claimed mental health reasons for her to sit, (an increasing trend players are taking to keep them eligible for revenue sharing next year) then she would have 2 years at another school, right?
