Tony Carr was from the Philly area. They have similar builds. Maybe similar playing style? I would take that in a heartbeat with our coaching and motion offense.
We made the list for G Bryce Lindsay out of Baltimore. I didn’t know he was on the radar.
Thornton has already committed to OSU so at this point I'm fine with the signing. I never disliked him but I would have loved to have Thornton.Looks like we're gonna find out.
and Jalen Washington!So...2 spots left. Heide and...?

So are we no longer recruiting any PGs for this class?Iwuchukwu
obviously won’t complain if we get a 4, but I’d prefer we get a 5 in this class.
Extremely doubtful. Kinda sucks because McMillan is a very good player but so are the 2 guards that have already committedSo are we no longer recruiting any PGs for this class?

Very true.Well we might have Morton for 4 more seasons after this one- plus brown is a “combo guard”. Not sure how much we really need another PG yet

Yes, they were recruiting but no offer at the time. Good that we got him early.Carr was a bitc*. Loved his game and toughness. I remember some really good battles between him and Eastern.
Was Nova involved with Brown?
I was wondering if a preinjury Keaton Grant was a comp.Tony Carr was from the Philly area. They have similar builds. Maybe similar playing style? I would take that in a heartbeat with our coaching and motion offense.
That would be good too! I can see that. He was a catalyst that year with the Baby Boilers. Good outside shooter and has length. Should be a good defender with 6’6” wingspan.I was wondering if a preinjury Keaton Grant was a comp.

Well he is a combo guard. Its not like Painter really recruits true traditional Point Guards that much. There isn't really one on the roster Morton is big and Thompson while being Point Guard height is more of a shooter. So are we no longer recruiting any PGs for this class?

Purdue, Auburn, Marquette, UMass, Penn, Temple, Richmond, and Xavier from what I can tell.
Welcome aboard, Mr. Jameel Brown.....looking forward to him joining this exciting team....a great fit for the program and Purdue University. Well done, CMP and Micah Shrewsberry. Recruiting profile? Looking good, folks.
That may be a freshman clip but he passes the eye test to me.
Loved Keaton Grant. That damn knee injury really kept him from greatness imo. That would be good too! I can see that. He was a catalyst that year with the Baby Boilers. Good outside shooter and has length. Should be a good defender with 6’6” wingspan.
I haven’t seen anything. It wouldn’t surprise me if he waited until early next year. I think Morton and Ivey announced maybe March/April their junior years. Just guessing.Anything new with Heide?

Watched some video of Heide, Really good athlete (or good dunker at least). Very much reminds me of Recker or maybe the kid from Minny (Dekker? although Dekker may have been in the 6'8 range). Not sure about his handles.
I'm a firm believer Painter needs to focus and prioritize a score-first PG who can break down the D, get in the painter, finish and shoot. I've seen these types of guards playing at some lower level programs who would be exactly what Purdue needs.

Dekker played for Wisconsin... unless you meant he was from Minnesota before that?

Yeh, it was Dekker at WI. Who was the white kid from Minny who was in that 6'7 range, really good athlete, great dunker?
Joey King? Transferred from Drake and played three years for Minnesota - '14, '15, '16.
Kris Humphries? No, that's not him. This guy was probably around 2005-2010, something like that. I might still be thinking of Dekker though and made up the Minny guy.

What's his current weight, his contract pay, and his social security number. You AMAZE me with all your info ... or is google your siamese twin?Yes, Sam Dekker for Wisconsin and from Sheboygan. AND.....a 5* recruit, so automatically Lenny-approved.
Selected in the first round of the 2015 NBA draft but falling outside the lottery picks @ #18. Dekker was a heck of a player for Bo Ryan's Badgers. After a few years with the Rockets, Clippers, Cavaliers, and Wizards, he's now playing overseas in Turkey.
