2017 Recruiting Class

I will never forget that Wisconsin game. And we will hopefully never see another Purdue game where they only throw six passes through the first three quarters. How dumb can you get?
and didn't we hit like 2 decent pass plays to set up our first TD?

And wasn't Wisky a top rushing D before during and after the game?

I'm not fully convinced that wasn't Shoop finally giving Hazell is way. That seems to be what Hazell was talking about when he was hired...power running and setting up play action. Throwing 6 passes through 3 quarters is the EXACT definition of that idea. I think Shoop finally took a stand and said, let's do it your way 100% this week and see what happens. Although they technically kept it close, it wasn't all that close in reality. Purdue still lost by 3 scores.

Total yards: Purdue 191 Wisc 418
Total First Downs: Purdue 12 Wisc 26
TOP: Purdue 22:14 Wisc 37:46

In all regards, Wisconsin absolutely crushed Purdue but because Purdue was content to simply 'keep it close,' Wisconsin only got 24 points. Pathetic football and at this point, I'm not convinced anything is going to get better. I'll probably head to a few spring practices and the spring game (schedule permitting) to try and get myself some what enthused about the upcoming season, but my apathy at this point won't allow for it. When you have die-hard fans like myself and others on here that can't get themselves excited...you have a major problem.

It was really undersold on how well the D played. Some VERY timely turnovers helped us a bunch but the DL was BEASTLY. Had some success at getting to the QB and kept their run game from running wild, especially in the first 3 quarters.

I still think that Hazel and Shoop took Purdue and the points that week, and we covered.

Someone said it best yesterday: the horse is dead, and now we just need to let it bleed out. We can all just hibernate for a year and hope things are better in 365 days.
