Purdue recruiting Two transfer DBs add offers from Purdue

A pair of starting defensive backs in the transfer portal have picked up offers from Purdue: BYU safety Crew Wakley and Washington State’s Stephen Hall.

OFF TOPIC Peace, out

For some time, in this post-NIL world of college athletics, I have been debating to what degree I wanted to continue my funding and support. Finally made the decision today that I am done.

My hard earned money will now be entirely directed each year towards academic scholarships for students who actually value a degree from Purdue, funding an endowment that will benefit multiple students long after I am dead and buried, instead of paying money each year to fund scholarships for “get mine” athletes on a one-year contract with Purdue.

Judging by the venom I often read on these forums I suspect few if any will care that a Purdue sports fan of 35 years has finally given up on college athletics. Some may even laugh at me. I’m cool with that; I’ll be enjoying life on the farm with family and friends….

God bless!!

Antione West JR. 2025 commit

Watched him last night. Kid has an elite court sense. Big physical body for a HS player. Keeps his head up even when doubled. He should have had double digit assist his teammates were unable make open shots. IMO, he looks for others WAY too much considering their inability execute. Compares closely to CJ Cox in many ways just a bigger version. I don't recall any player scoring on him. His team plays a switching defense and not really well. They gave the other team wide open three's all game long. Watching him play this year is going to be rough if one of their starters remains as a starter. Not going to name him but oh my seemed like it was 4 on 6 all night long. I started watching him last year he has matured a lot in one year especially in upper body strength. I see this morning he has moved up to #77 on ESPN's top 100 seems about right to me. I guess he maybe took 5 shots 1 of 3 from 3 finished with around 9 points. When I watched him this summer he was more of a scorer, and I expected to compare him to E'Twaun but CJ is much closer to what I watched last night. Kid has what it takes to find the floor in a crowded field of point guards. He will be successful at Purdue and beyond. I like his game and mental attributes has all the tools.

Fire Matt Painter Petition...

First of all, I went to Purdue when Painter played. I like him as a person and I think he a good regular season coach, but not many people outside of the Midwest care much about BIG titles and certainly not the national media calling Purdue the "Choke Artist Program of the Decade" etc...
College basketball is all about March and us losing to North Texas (#13), St. Peters (#15), Fairleigh Dickinson (#16) along with Little Rock etc. are not acceptable for program like Purdue.

The head coach is the CEO of their program, so when you have failed on the biggest stage you should be accountable for his failure.
I think Painter has become too comfortable, too stubborn and too rigid for the good of Purdue.
So with this petition, this is your chance to voice your displeasure with Matt Painter.
This might not get him fired but it should be put him on notice to at the very least to make major changes if he wants keep his job.
