Purdue offers talented 2026 wing Sanai Green

Purdue offers a 2026 prospect for the second day in a row, this time Virginia wing Sanai Green.

As a sophomore last season, she averaged 20.3 points (52% FG and 32% 3FG), 8.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Green is a true three level scorer with a deep bag on the offensive end. She can create her own shot, knock down threes, post up and has an impressive mid range game.

Great size (6’0”) for a small forward and could potentially play the two or four.

Too many offers to list, but here are some of the top schools to have done so: Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky, USC, Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina.

Trump holds massive rally in the Bronx

Trump is out looking to expand his base....out in the Bronx today, a place Republicans haven't campaigned since Reagan. Thousands came. Amazed me as no busses were spotted...all folks from the Bronx. Crowd said to be 25,000.

Might be working? The NYT discusses Trump poling......
"Trump also wins more than 20 percent of Black voters — a tally that would be the highest level of Black support for any Republican presidential candidate since the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964."

And Trump is currently poling even better with Latinos.

Events & poling like this have Dems going nuts, Trump has them all triggered. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul calls Trump supporters ‘clowns’ in her own 'basket of deplorables' moment

RIP Bill Walton

He wasn't everyone's cup of tea as a broadcaster but I enjoyed listening to his games. In color commentary, you can either be informative or entertaining. Too many guys try unsuccessfully to be the former. For me, Walton was entertaining. Yes, often over the top but that was part of it in my opinion. I remember watching a Pacers game back when I still watched the NBA in the late 90's or 2000 and Bill was doing the game. Sam Perkins was playing for the Pacers and was wearing a durag. Walton went on and on about Perkins wearing "a hat" and it just cracked me up.

Was hoping I'd get to hear him on BTN with UCLA and the west coast teams joining but I suppose in a way it is appropriate as he was PAC-12 through and through.

RIP Bill Walton.

Man, did this pull at me. Really puts things in perspective. My thoughts will heavily be with this fellow Boilermaker and his family during this time and especially the game tomorrow.

Let the games begin!

So what's going on here?

I don't recall a time where we've offered so many kids in such a short time period. And almost all of them guards. Weird.
Is this Matt using our national exposure to greatly expand our search net to include guys we wouldn't have approached in the past?
Different because of so many other teams prioritizing transfers?
I suspect some of both, but more the exposure nationally.
Here's hoping he's getting calls returned from a much larger group of kids now.
He's earned it.
And deserves it.

Purdue recruiting Top positional needs in the 2025 recruiting class

Ahead of official visit season, Boiler Upload breaks down which position groups are most vital for Purdue in the 2025 recruiting class.

Loyalty...our team didn't lose anyone unexpected to the portal

The fact that we didn't lose any of our up-and-coming stars to the portal says a lot about the character and makeup of our team, from the head coach all the way down to the student managers. It lends credence to the "family" footing that Coach Painter has taken with regards to our program.

The NPOY came back because of loyalty and camaradarie.

There have been reports that teams were throwing big $$ numbers at Braden Smith and he didn't budge. Loyalty.

Our freshman athletes must have had the kitchen sink thrown at them from other coaches/boosters/players and no one budged. That's loyalty.

We have upper classmen that were starters last year and barely saw the floor this season but they didn't complain or enter the portal. Loyalty.

I love our team, our coach and our program. We didn't go out and buy hired guns like other teams (*ahem...looking down south). They can celebrate any success they find using that approach, but I like our approach better. I feel like buying an entirely new team every year will have recruiting and culture consequences in the long run.
