Edmonson was inducted into the Texas High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023. At least through 2019, Edmonson was the executive director of the Full Court Press Foundation in Schertz, Texas, which was a non-profit organization that provided sports related activities for children in eighth grade or younger. The foundation was celebrating its 25th year in 2019.

Slow starts and strong finishes

A pattern is emerging where Purdue is in a close game or trailing late in the first half before finishing the first half strong and then following it up with a very strong second half. All 4 Purdue games this tournament pretty much follow this script. I’m curious if there is a reason or if it is just a coincidence. Are teams coming out fired up, but then just getting worn down by Purdue’s relentlessness? Is Purdue coming out tight? Is Painter making adjustments to the defense? I don’t have the answer, but I think that it is a pattern that has to be building some confidence in the players when other teams come out strong.

Team of Redemption

I truly believe this is our year for so many reasons. We were knocked down and had to hear the hate for a solid year. Edey comes back to get us to the promised land. Now that we are there this team is gonna play loose. First up NC State and the DJs. They play 7 guys. Yes the refs will play a huge role but Edey gets 2 of their 3 bigs in foul trouble by the second half and Smith, Loyer, Gillis and I’m calling Heide all shoot it well from deep and we advance. Uconn and Hurley’s dragon underpants can’t be beaten - at least the media will tell us that and we are a 5.5 point underdog on draft kings right now. Edey will change the game, neutralize Clingan and make their guards beat us. Big task with Newton, Castle, super annoying Rutgers transfer Spencer and Karavan is the wild card. However Edey will foul Clingan out and all of our guards are capable of going off. It hasn’t happened in many games where everyone feels it but it’s gonna be Monday night and we are cutting down the nets. Edey won’t use a ladder once again!

Under-seeded teams

Have we been playing under-seeded teams on our national championship run?

Utah State should’ve been a 6. Tennessee should’ve been a 1. NC state seems to be under-seeded as well.

I think our path has been perfect for this team as they seem to play better the better the competition but have we been playing teams that should’ve been seeded higher than they were/are?
