Kinda quiet here. I spy something black...

Just teasing.

I hope the team is recovering where necessary and incorporating new arrivals for spring practices. Stay healthy guys!

We have the building blocks to have a good team in 2022. Offense should be setting records for yards and points.
• need higher redzone touchdown percentage
• need more effective running game
• should consider up tempo passing attack
• long ball will be there with OL improvements

Defense was able to stop a highly effective up tempo Tenn offense that lead the nation, which provides a great foundation to build on.
• Need more speed to hang with opp receivers
• Need aggressive front DL for QB pressure
• Curious of the Karlaftis' brothers trade out

Any thoughts on the current status of the team, red shirt additions, portal transfers, and the upcoming spring practices?

Checking in on the net rankings

Currently we are number 8 in the NET with THREE Quad 1 Wins.

-Iowa is number 27, and hanging on..Really need them to beat IU tonight.
-Villanova will stay a Quad 1 all year
-North Carolina should stay quad 1 all year
-Penn State is one to watch as they jumped 6 spots to 82....I believe they will work their way up to the top 75 at some point.

Next week is a MASSIVE opportunity to get two quad 1 wins @Illinois and @IU.

Biden to send 5MM rapid tests to schools each month

This sounds AWESOME!! Until you do the quick math and realize there are 130k schools in the US, which translates to about 40 tests per school. I am sure they will use those the first 2 days of each month.

Biden administration to send additional 5M free rapid tests to schools monthly: COVID-19 updates

Way to go Brandon!!

(Knowing Brandon, he will send 1000 tests to the 5000 most blue districts in the US or wherever the teachers unions are the strongest…squeaky wheel gets the grease)

These kids don't get it

They think they are going to college to freely and openly exchange and debate ideas. They are going to be indoctrinated and it is best if one has the "correct" views. My kid would not go here.

1940 NCAA Champions

I did not know this.

Purdue won the Big Ten with a 10 - 2 record, 16 - 4 overall in regular season.
IU was second in the BT with a 9 - 3 record, 17 - 3 overall in regular season.

Purdue's 2 conference losses were both to IU.
IU 3 conference losses were at Minnesota, at Northwestern, and at Ohio State.
But the winner of the Big Ten is always get the NCAA invite.

According to wikipedia, "Purdue was invited to the 8-team NCAA Tournament, turned down the invite,
saying IU should play in the tournament instead".

We all know about Purdue's 1932 National Championship - Premo Poretta Power Poll National Championship.
But it looks like Purdue might have won their 1st NCAA Tournament National Championship in 1940 had they accepted the bid.

Guess IU got a quality assist on their 1st banner, crazy! I bet many Purdue and IU fans do not even know this.........

Inflation is here to stay as long as Brandon is in office

Wait, it gets worse. Lieber added that the “backlash leads us to increase the odds that Republicans take the House to 90%, up from 80% previously.

Thats the good news!!!

1) I like the speading out of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Should play Minnesota in good weather in early Oct.
2) Have a bye week before Iowa, I’m sure they’re not thrilled with that after last year!
3) Non-conference drops two top 55 teams and replaced with teams in the 90’s. Will Purdue have any hiccups and play down to the level of competition?

The schedule’s set up pretty nicely for Purdue in 2022. Replacing potentially 4 coaches is not ideal (WR, OL, DC/LB, CB) but hopefully it’s a smooth transition.

I’m curious if the defense, without GK, can pressure the QB / have as much success. Just imagine if GK would have played his senior season. Wow.

FYI in 2022 cross-over games for:
Iowa - Michigan, Ohio St, Rutgers
Minnesota - Mich St, Penn St, Rutgers
Wisconsin - Ohio St, Michigan St, Maryland

Considering Iowa and Wisconsin’s schedule, if Purdue beats Minnesota in the head to head, that could be huge for the final conference standings. All games are important, but that one is vital.
