Do you learn & grow, or are you the problem?

The media often makes mistakes, most of these are short term, a day or a week and they are corrected.

But this last decade the media has been caught in several long term lies for months or years where their intention is to successfully manipulate the public. A few examples of these follow.....

1. The many climate lies
2. Russia, Russia, Russia conclusion
3. Charlottesville "fine people" lie
4. The many COVID lies
5. Hunter Biden Laptop
6. Biden is fit & mentally sharp
7. That this is a racist nation and many are racist.
8. There is an attack on the freedom to vote.
9. The right is extreme. Meanwhile the left burns & riots.

BEYOND the media cannot be trusted......If you are a person that believed a high number or all of the above, it should give you pause to reflect and analyze your thoughts process, and grow into a better person.

The problem though, through reading here and elsewhere......reflection, analysis & growth clearly doesn't seem to be happening! It seems some are happy being sheep and are ready to gobble up the next media BIG lie.

Just to satisfy the I never say I'm wrong folks

Seems to be Painter isn't going to play TKR at the 5 based on reports he is spending most of his time practicing at the 4. Which implies that if that's the been the plan almost from the start then Painter may have never planned to play TKR at the 5 primarily.

Definitely prefer embracing the fact that our best talent is on the wings and going with Heide at 4, Colvin at 3 and TKR at 5 with Loyer and Smith but it appears that's not the way we are trending whether because Painter doesn't think TKR can play the 5 or because he thinks Jacobsen/Berg is just that good or a combination of both.

At any rate, I was wrong in thinking that was the most likely lineup. Unless the reports are wrong.

200 Billion Industry. Quite interestng

A military friend sent this in an email as he typically sends four or five every day. ;) I wasn’t aware of some private investors like Blackrock and Vanguard getting in on the action. As the government grows so do the voters to keep their jobs. What is also fascinating in that the exponential growth took place after the mid 70s. What changed? A potential answer provided at the end…

Purdue Baseball 59 Days to Purdue Football: Thomas Tinsley

Thomas Tinsley - Fr.
Dyer, IN (Lake Central HS)
6'6", 240 pounds
Offensive line
2024 Projection: Reserve

While I admite his effort, at 240 pounds Tinsley is severely undersized as a Big Ten offensive lineman. He still has a way to go before seeing the field in that capacity. He was an academic all-state selection at Lake Central HS in northwest Indiana and he was a team captain. He also participated in swimming.

Prioritize the 2025 basketball players offered and then what do you feel are our chances of them committing to Purdue?

I think Mullins could be the next high scoring guard that could be an offensive focus, similar to CBoogie in having the green light to score.

List still possibly in the running: Braylon Mullins, Trent Sisley, Jalen Haralson, Nikolas Khamenia, Sebastian Williams-Adams, Antoine West Jr. several others were offered but are no longer in the picture.

Ivey Usage / Monty Williams firing

The horrible record didn’t help, but usage of Ivey was a sticking point between management and coach Williams. From USA TODAY:

Ownership's confidence that Williams was the right fit for the team dissolved amid a 2-29 start to the season. His usage of Jaden Ivey early in the season — opting to bring the second-year guard off the bench behind the since-waived Killian Hayes — and refusal to stagger Ivey with Cunningham are among several decisions that confused team officials.

"We require change," Gores told local media members in December. "We’re not doing well. As far as where we’re going in getting this set of players and flexibility and all that stuff, I think that stuff and the work to get there is still there. But we have to assess what’s not working here. I’m down to Monty and I talking about rotations. I don’t normally do that."

In January, Williams acknowledged he was questioned during an organizational meeting about his handling of Ivey, and reluctance to use him as a primary ball-handler. It was a peek into the disconnect between the coach and the front office/ownership that has now culminated with his dismissal.

Kara Winger throws for Olympic spot this evening.

38-year-old Purdue alum Kara Winger (Patterson) will compete in the javelin finals at 6 this evening at the T/F Olympic trials. She finished the preliminary round in 1st place with a leading throw of 63.01 meters, a little more than half a meter ahead of the 2nd-best throw (62.4).

Winger is the javelin American record holder (68.11 meters) and is trying to make her 4th Olympic team (2008, 2012, 2021). Her career has experienced quite a renaissance in recent years. She's had a bunch of international success but has not yet won an Olympic medal.

Purdue guard Fletcher Loyer is taking part in the second annual Jayson Tatum Elite Camp in Las Vegas, which began yesterday and runs until July 3rd. Loyer is one of 14 college players in attendance, and just one of two from the Big Ten doing so. There are also 13 high school prospects in attendance, including 2025 four-star forward and Purdue target Nikolas Khamenia.

Purdue football 61 Days to Purdue Football: Aaron Roberts

Aaron Roberts - Jr.
Indianapolis, IN (Cardinal Ritter HS)
6'4", 295 pounds
Offensive Line
2024 Projection: Reserve

Roberts has seen action in one game as a walk-on so far. He played at the end of the Indiana State game in 2022, when virtually everyone on the roster played. He has served mostly as a walk-on and practice player.

He came from Cardinal Ritter HS in Indianapolis, one of the Catholic schools that has an up and down program history. Ritter has won five state championships, most recently in 2016. With Roberts they went 7-5 in 2019 and 6-3 in 2020.

Roberts is a depth and practice player. He will probably see some run in the fourth quarter of blowouts, but Purdue's depth on the line has him pretty far down the depth chart.
