Agreed. Just because you were a great college player doesn’t mean it translate and vice versa.Disagree on it showing “the college player you were”

I don't dislike the kid at all. Seems like a nice young man.Yeahhhhh I’m 2 time Super Bowl winner, Roosevelt Colvin and I’m posting here 🤦♂️
You have disliked him ever since he started at Purdue. Why is that exactly?.
So no plays were drawn up for Cox today and he scored all those points on blind luck? Same with Harris and yes even Furst.Plays are not drawn up for Heide or cox. Furst had the ball in his hands more this time because TKR was out in foul trouble and since we have no other big who can score, however Furst was the third option after Braden and fletch. No plays were drawn up directly for Furst. He was the beneficiary of Braden driving and kicking to him or he just happened to be the low post guy in position for that play after some action had occurred.
It indicates nothing of the sort. And you're again grasping at straws. You saying “probably not but who knows” kinda indicates you’re saying Waddell should play but that’s semantics and I’ll give you that.
Retired coach now but still giving lessons. And I don't care if you trust me or not. Coaching is coaching when dealing with young men and women. And you saying you’re a coach…but wasn’t that for baseball? So, I don’t really think I can trust what you’re saying since that’s a completely different sport. And you’ve said stuff on here that indicates you don’t know as much as you think you do.
What have I made up? And I'll say it again to your deaf eyes, I don't dislike him at all. He's still got a lot to prove. And I'll congratulate him on scoring today, but still believe Cox and Harris are both better than him right now because they both are playing their roles and defense much better. And you say you’re watching the game but you just make things up. It’s a bit odd, but just admit you don’t like him.
I understand his role and make nothing "up" about him. And I'm not going to honor your idea that I dislike him; I'd love to see him explode all the time as he's done every 10th game. Assists today? How many boards In the 19 minutes he played, mostly in clean up time. And what did his replacement do today?I’ll stop arguing with you because you’re going to continue to make up things about him and for some reason, don’t like him for whatever that may be. Once you understand his role, as well as the roles for Heide, Harris and cox is different than the big 3, then it’ll all make sense. But until then, you will continue to misread and misdiagnose what you “see” on the court

Hey, did you hear that Zach Edey played baseball growing up and not basketball? Oh and hockey too!I neither prophesied nor got upset. I observed and commented on a common phenomenon on this board
The way I see it, anyone we get from the portal will need to be an all-conference player - this year. Otherwise, I don't see that player being any more than a role player, a la Jenkins. And the way this roster is constructed, I'm not sure a role player gets minutes on this team next year either. Unless someone in the main 9 (counting DJ minus Furst) really tanks and ends up leaving.Love Paint, but We absolutely need to hit the portal next year to compete for a NC
He might but there's almost certainly at least a handful of players who in fact would be upgrades in the portal. He doesn't have the optimum team that can't possibly be made better. That is Painter's approach. One of the popular comments here is, "Painter can always upgrade with the portal." My take is that he knows who he's got, who he has coming in as recruits, and who is realistically available to him in the portal. portal. He may simply decide that the players that are realistically available to Purdue are not upgrades to who he's got and who he has coming in.
We said similar things about Colvin and Heide last year.Cox is better than Jones for sure by next year.
Pick whatever number you think it's worth then.A generational player says he wants to come to Purdue for a fraction of his worth?
#functionalstrengthIf the bale is large square bale which weighs 500 lbs. It would be very beneficial.lol
Seriously my high school coach used to get after me to come into lift weights during the summer. He wanted me to be in better shape. Usually I had just finished a day of 6 hours throwing 80 pound hay bales up to 10 feet in the air, with temperature in the high 80's to 90's with humidity at 80%. During 2 a days the sissy city kids were dying halfway through practice when I was just getting warmed up. You could tell the farm boys from the others.
The goober seems really familiar….The more and more he’s dying on the “they aren’t special” hill I’m convinced it’s an IU troll trying to get a whiff of what it’s like to be on the other end of a blowout and have a functional team.
They actually stormed 3x. Last year was towards the exits with 5 minutes left in the game.Yes, we remember 2 of those were court storms by the IU students (pretty embarrassing for a school that has such a history as IU).
It’s a big deal to beat Purdue these days…especially for IU. IU is 5-15 in the last 20…swept 5 straight years and last years experienced the largest combined margin of loss in the series in over 90 years.
So yes. Woody should stick around. I quite enjoy his 14 or is it 15 losses by 15+?
Don’t free Woody! We need him around a few more years - he has plenty left in the tankYou know he's 3-3 against Purdue right?
You know IU basketball has been irrelevant since 2002 right? You know he's 3-3 against Purdue right?
Yes, we remember 2 of those were court storms by the IU students (pretty embarrassing for a school that has such a history as IU).You know he's 3-3 against Purdue right?
Exactly why he should be able to stay at IU as long as he wants. You know he's 3-3 against Purdue right?
You know he's 3-3 against Purdue right? Not me, Wrong Shot…
The latest reminder of why you are so out of place on this board.
It’s remarkable (and pretty flattering, actually) how you remain under the delusion that anyone here gives a rat’s azz about what you think 🤣🤣
Woody FOREVER!!
Thanks for this rec TJ. Was open early enough to catch a great brunch before the game. Highly recommend to everyone else for the noon tip-offs as a lot of other spots aren’t open til 11.it is good as is Ripple across the street by the same owner
And in the big factor of chemistry. That is Painter's approach. One of the popular comments here is, "Painter can always upgrade with the portal." My take is that he knows who he's got, who he has coming in as recruits, and who is realistically available to him in the portal. portal. What is Mr OOC? Are you going to answer?TKR v JJ push is crazy talk. Please review the stats and awards.
Loyer is my least favorite penetrator in Purdue history. Mr OOC
The more and more he’s dying on the “they aren’t special” hill I’m convinced it’s an IU troll trying to get a whiff of what it’s like to be on the other end of a blowout and have a functional team.Maybe he just doesn't see the need to respond to special people.
As did I.I neither prophesied nor got upset. I observed and commented on a common phenomenon on this board
Maybe he just doesn't see the need to respond to special people. No good response, huh?
Disagree. The NBA drafts on potential, not talent. And those are frequently very different things.Being drafted to the NBA shows your talent level and the type of college player you were. This is relevant to the message I was responding to.
