ILLINOIS / MSU tomorrow

Ridiculous foul calls on Illinois. 3rd time the whistle has come way after the shot is taken and MSU missed the shot. Hate when refs wait to see if shot is made. It's either a foul, or it's not.

Refs working OT for MSU. Watching it's almost like they are getting paid to keep the green alive. But our B10 refs have always been both the highest quality and above reproach, so that cannot be it. 😎

ILLINOIS / MSU tomorrow

My take on this game, maybe I made it already, is that, while both games will be tough, I can more likely see us winning in East Lansing than the last game of the season in Champaign. Therefore a win by Sparty is better for us. If we're using road wins as a major player in the title chase, I'd rather Illinois not get another big one.

ILLINOIS / MSU tomorrow

Watched the first half. So far, MSU has been playing extremely aggressive defense with tons of contact. So far, refs just not calling it. KJ out with two fouls early, neither of which were particularly egregious. Hopefully ILL gets some calls in the second half and KJ gets going. Have I mentioned that I hate Michigan State? :p Need those clowns to be brought back down to earth. Overrated.

Yes but their rebounded on the offensive glass is incredible.

Will Riley is balling out right now.

Think they lead the conference in offensive rebounding, Beef; regardless, these are two of the better rebounding teams in the conference. Underwood has been a slow boil this first half - wonder if we get fireworks in the second.

CMP deserves a lifetime contract.

I have to believe if Keady had reached a final 4, the age regulation would have been waived. Indiana does have an age limitation for their state college employees. My mother in law was forced into retirement, received her gold watch and went back to work full time the next day at her desk on a private cancer research grant And continued to work until the day she died at age 80. There are always loopholes.

Unfortunately for Keady, his last two years were not successful ones, and the grumbling and outside pressure started.

My hope is that Painter is allowed to leave on his own terms rather than being helped out the door.
Keady was too honest for his own good. He started admitting to recruits and their parents that he MIGHT not be there all four years of their careers.

And let’s just also say that the program wasn’t being supported like it should have been…

Braun Eliminates DEI

Nonsense. Biden announced that he was picking a black woman for the Supreme Court BEFORE he nominate Jackson. This is widely documented. And you're again parroting this "qualified" gibberish. I fully agree that Jackson is qualified. Now please stifle about being qualified. She was chosen for skin color, gender and qualifications.
I know that. If you read my post I was talking about the Def Sec Lloyd Austin who Biden did not announce that he was selecting a black person for Def Sec. But back to Justice Brown. So what that Biden announced that he was selecting a black woman, Brown, and the other candidates were highly qualified.

Colvin and Heide yikes

He has matured and now he gets it on defense:

“The more you talk, the more you're engaged, so it's easier to be more connected on the defensive end,” Myles Colvin said. “It's also just having that mindset of playing defense. You're not going to be able to be a good defender if you're not willing to play defense, or be connected and run a string through your team."
What the heck does that word salad mean?

Unfortunately , I highly highly doubt the debt will be cut. Hopefully the others come in. 😄

Yes, although not the main point of my post, Even if/with cuts the interest rates on the Base debt makes that tough.

But they better do it or our retirement accounts are slowly becoming worthless due to inflation and wrecking of the economy it will cause.

I thought the same would be true for Keady and knight. But when they stopped winning championships, public opinion changed.

Why was Keady forced into retirement? It’s very clear looking at what he did after he retired from Purdue that he really wasn’t ready to retire. He went to St. John’s and the NBA as a special assistant. He could still coach. But not at Purdue. Here, have a watch, thank you for your service!

Knight was fired by IU.
Purdue at the time had a policy of retiring coaches at the age of 70 which I think Keady was about to reach.
