Early look at potential foe BYU

To be fair, he hasn’t played with TKR at the five yet. That lineup is coming, although I don’t know when. I have a feeling he will shine with the starters.

All of Purdue hopes you are 100% correct. I thought that would be a fun run & gun bunch preseason. Hope it comes to fruition.

Season hasn't started yet. CMP will get them going by Jan. We are too used to early perfection last 2 years. Normally the best play cards mes in Jan of a typical team. This one the best play might not be till March??

I can't think of any other explanation than a nagging injury. He's in his 3rd year in the program and has the tools to be All-B1G. He showed flashes last year, and I expected this would be his breakout year.

Criteria for next HC

I can only hope the powers that be are looking hard at what is happening with Cignetti (and remembering the fun of the Tiller years here) that what seems like an expensive investment in a proven football coach reaps exponential rewards in terms of noteriety, ticket sales, hotel/restaraunt revenue, etc., etc….
We’ve had a disturbing habit of slaughtering our golden geese in football; it needs to stop 😳
We need to make up for the lack of donor/NIL funds with what we have from the university Athletic Department side from our conference revenue payout. Dump it all into facilities, coaches, etc. spend the money you can through the school on football and hope that once the coaches and players get here the NIL money follows eventually.

When you have a bad product on the field it’s going to be very hard to have fans and boosters want to step up and finance big time NIL deals.

Remember when we had no talent last year?

Mbow will definitely be drafted. Add him to your list but take Mockobee off. We all like him and he’s a good college back, but I seriously doubt he has an NFL career.

I would love to see some evidence of your claims about tailoring schemes. I’m 99.9% certain you have not done comprehensive analysis of the schemes of Brohm at WKU and Cignetti at JMU and how they modified them at their new school. You just see success and make this claim based on nothing because you are so hung up on this defensive scheme. Just run a 2 deep shell and we’d be bowl eligible, right? Lol
I think a 2 deep shell makes it tougher just because of the complete lack of LB talent but whatever we are doing with the front 6-7 in this defense definitely isn’t it.

We were better with Scourton getting after the QB last year but still couldn’t stop the run and still gave up huge chunk plays because we had guys in man coverage who couldn’t cover.

Three key takeaways: Purdue vs. Grand Valley State

I’m not going to read too much into the warm up games - I’ll have more of an opinion as we start playing real games. We have had guys who could put up numbers against scrubs and disappeared when the talent went up.

The 5 spot is going to be our weak link all season which was expected after losing the 2 time NPOY. Berg probably has the advantage because of age and strength. Jacobsen will get plenty of time to learn - how quickly he adjusts and changes, is what I’m watching.

Trump’s real closing message: his kkklan rally at MSG

So another "Trust me, bro." Yup, you keep confirming the worst of Trump's effects on the naïve.

  • Trust no experts; trust no first hand experiences with Trump by national and international leaders.
  • Only trust Trump and his favored media and internet buddies.

And when that horrible dynamic is laid out for you? Your only counter is a TrustMeBro insult or middle-school name calling.
Trumps knows more about everything than anybody else. Just ask him.
He knows even more now. This was four years ago.

Totally agree. Somehow hoping he’s injured or paint was giving others some run…but just can’t believe he couldn’t get more mins than he has already.

VIDEO: Painter, TKR, Loyer, Harris after GVSU victory

Painter's comments about Cox's pull-up game where interesting. It sounded to me like Painter is generally not in favor of pull-up jump shots (I don't recall him saying that previously), but says he'd "be a fool" if he didn't let CJ do it. He also mentioned that Harris scored in a variety of ways, including a pull-up.
Well paint is a big analytics guy right? And usually the pull-up/longer 2s are not “high %/good shots”. So I’m guessing that may play a factor in his quote. BUT CJ looks to be really good at the middy so like Boiler Buck said, he better get used to it 😂

Going to be a fun year to root for the Boilermakers! Don't be shocked if they peak later in the year and surprise a lot of folks on the national level. Jacobsen is young, but he's for real. Colvin, Cox, and Harris are ready now! Heide needs to be more aggressive when he gets the ball. Berg, Furst & Jacobsen can combine for 15 & 10 which should be enough with our 5 talented guards and TKR.
Agree here. I think we take our lumps early on (finally lose a few games in non conf) and start to get it together in January. I think paint will allow the first to play through mistakes (he may not have a choice 😂) to be ready for March and next year.

Love to see that too. Great size & quicks with athleticism, decent shot from 3.

Course, Heide doesn't seem to want to see that too badly, it seems.....based on 2 games. Guess that matters the most. Needs to come out with more urgency as the opportunity is there.

Michigan 500,000 more registrations than voters of eligible age.....what could possibly go wrong??

Pennsylvania, for instance, 139 cases of noncitizen voter registrations were reported between 2006 and 2018 in just Allegheny County, where Pittsburgh is located. Of those, 27 percent had previously cast a ballot.

As a US citizen, I'll ask, is any number above ZERO acceptable?
I believe the Democrats say…it depends on who they vote for. (And if you are going to lose a state in a fair election…why not roll the dice…desperate times!!)
