POS President Chump blames DEI for plane crash

Actually DEI did play a small part.
DEI played a huge part. The senior officer in the chopper crew has now been identified. Guess what?

"The Army has identified the third soldier aboard the Black Hawk helicopter involved in Wednesday’s deadly midair collision near Reagan National Airport after it had been initially withheld.

"Capt. Rebecca M. Lobach, of Durham, North Carolina, served as an aviation officer in the Army since July 2019 and had around 500 hours of flying time in the Black Hawk, the Army said in a release.

"Lobach’s family had initially asked for her identity to be withheld because of unsubstantiated accusations that DEI was a factor in the crash."

DEI caused the Philadelphia MEDVAC plane crash

There is no speculation. The tower was understaffed because of DEI. That is 100% fact. They turned away qualified candidates because they weren't diverse enough. The crash happened because they were overworked and understaffed. IF they had the proper staffing, the tower would have alerted the helicopter pilot much earlier of the impending crash.

I am a pilot and I've flown into some extremely busy airports. DC is one of the most busy. Not a place to have too little staff.
Perhaps AFTER the investigation is OVER and the FINAL report is out the NTSB will find that being understaffed caused the crash. Maybe not. The point is speculating that alone as a cause without evidence is bad enough after a disaster but adding DEI in the mix is bring in politics. Again right after the crash is bit much. Then Hegseth, Vance, and Duffy parroting the DEI angle. Plus Hegseth saying that he is going to get rid of DEI in the military. Again without so much of a preliminary finding as the crash just happen hours prior. To spend so much time on DEI and understaffing was very insensitive and should have been done better as so-called president of the US. But the Flavor Aid taste good, doesn’t it.

Then Chump is asked about going to the site. His dumb remark is “You want me to go swimming?”. If you don’t see that is a crass statement to make after a tragedy, then I do not know what is.

This blaming every US disaster on DEI has got to stop.

Houston? We have a problem - down go the Cougars to the Texas Tech Red Raiders, 82-81 in overtime. Great defense in the paint on the last drive under 5 seconds.
And mind you that Texas Tech did that without their coach and best player, who got a F2 for an inadvertent kick to the nuts in the opening minutes of the game. Coach went nuts and got tossed too. And 2 Tech bigs fouled out too.

Purdue played poorly, give IU credit

Same here. And I am very curious to see how Benter does.
So, Dustin told me a couple of years ago that he was better than many Purdue people would know. Said he could pass and shoot the ball well, but never dribbled much. I asked him how was he able to do that since I would think people would crowd him making the passing and shooting tough and expect him to put it on the floor. So I went to a jr/sr all star game in Kokomo and sat beside a Purdue grad that was a guard for Kokomo years ago (Dirk Hankins) and we watched him. All that was true...he really understood how to get open and work without the ball. In that limited exposure you could see that he wasn't really fast, but he also was never hurt by someone faster.

Indiana at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

who was the son of the Rossville coach that played at Wisconsin?
Brian Good. Dad also coached at FRankfort. Nice guy really short. Brian was taller

One player in particular is really struggling

Without naming names (it's obvious who I'm talking about) this guy is really hurting the team with his inability to hit an open shot. I think we can all be resigned to the fact that this guy is and will always be a spot up 3 pt shooter. He hasn't developed the ability to handle the ball or get to the rim. Ok, fine. But if that's what you're going to do, then you have have to hit some shots outside of garbage time.
Against iu, we had a 7 pt lead and the ball. This guy gets a wide open, and I mean wide open, look from 3 and can't knock it down. Stretching the lead to 10 at that point would have been huge.
Not sure if he's go the yips, lacks confidence, if it's a mechanics issue or what. But we don't need a more another Ethan Morton.
Wow is it a secret?

I'm wondering if you are remembering the Woody Austin/Craig Riley show where Craig was setting screens waaaaayyyyy out and Woody was draining them.

"1992: Beating Indiana is always fun for Purdue.

But to cost the Hoosiers (who would finish 23-6 overall and 15-3 Big Ten) a Big Ten title and No 1 NCAA seed in the process is even more memorable for Boilermaker fans. That’s exactly what Purdue did in this epic 61-59 win vs. the No. 4 Hoosiers on Senior Day in Mackey Arena vs. an IU team that had beaten Purdue by 41 earlier in the season in Bloomington.

This was a pedestrian Purdue squad that would go 16-14 overall and 8-10 in the Big Ten and head off to the NIT. But seniors Woody Austin (a Richmond, Ind., native) and Craig Riley (a Ft. Wayne, Ind., native) went out in style vs. their in-state rival, watching students storm the court after Purdue upset an Indiana team that would go on to the Final Four. Austin paced the Boilers with 20 points, while the muscular Riley added 17 with seven boards. And a redshirt freshman named Cuonzo Martin tallied 12 points and seven rebounds while shadowing Hoosier All-American Calbert Cheaney."
yes, i was there as i have been since 1970. just goes to show how a rivalry game is unlike any other game. there should have been zero chance of beating iu yet it was a glorious victory. painter was on that team

That was the year - Purdue got blasted in Bloomington - 106-65, and the game in Mackey was the last game of the regular season. Purdue knocked Indiana out of a tie for first with Ohio State. Pre-Big Ten Tournament days, naturally.

I was watching this game in the Indianapolis area with friends, some of which were Purdue alums and some of which were Indiana alums. Had to break up a fight between two of them after the game......when things got heated......we were just winding down, and next thing I know chairs are going down, a glass breaks, and all hell was about ready to break loose......needless to say, it's just a game guys - life's too short - but not to everyone I guess. Somewhat put a damper on a big Boiler victory.
