The man has no honor

Jeffrey Goldberg lost credibility with the Kevin Williamson debacle.

I'm not disinclined to believe this happened, but trust in media is simply too low to open the article and see "sources close to situation" and file this away as true. The chain of trust is too long from Goldberg to his anon sources and is no ones fault but the media itself. This administration has had a lot shit talked by "sources close to situation" without anyone ever putting a name on it. This same story has been written at least weekly since inaguration.

I see OP just gobbles this stuff up, though.

So his direct quote on McCain not being a hero because he was captured was false? After making that quote, is this a leap? The fact that you continue to believe a serial liar is great. The guy is a massive POS that has said these things before but faked his way out of serving.
Canceling the trip in France due to rain was widely criticized at the time.........because there is always a rain option for presidential visits.
He also didn't go to Arlington on Veterans day because of rain.
He loves him some generals and has even referred to them as his.......until they disagree with him or don't show the required loyalty. Then he trashes them.
He has no problem interfering in military justice cases.
I agree. How is this info a leap?
After he's gone it's all gonna come out........and will still be called fake news no matter how many sources confirm it.

In his defense can you imagine what his coif or his makeup would look like if it ever got wet?

Speaking of The Atlantic, this one is a HOFer. The hyperbole and hysteria.

Lol. You post manipulated media the other day and you're trying to call people out on direct quotes and sources? Absolutely pathetic.

Really? Just chalk it up to another witch hunt hoax. Trump seems to have these coming up weekly that it seems to make all of you numb.

Yes, really. You are calling it a witch hunt hoax. I didn't. Some would call that projecting.

I thought I was rather nuanced in my explanation but you decide to ignore all of that and quote a single sentence.

I can walk you through why these otherwise, "bombshell" stories, are ignored by everyone in America outside of the twitter crowd.

Wow....you have a lot of time on your hands.

.i have learned that before I knee jerk into believing absurd sounding posts I need to wait for the “rest of the story” as Paul Harvey would say:

Note: there are no unnamed sources here. Only two sources who were there.

There's a reason, several really, why Trump has an image problem with the military and veterans. I post the sources that help paint the picture of why he is down in military polls and why so many generals and veterans are speaking out.

You are free to decide what you believe.
I try and post articles that everyone can access and aren't behind paywalls. I would hardly call sources such as navytimes, military.com, militarytimes, apnews, reuters, airforcetimes.com, and video evidence liberal bs but you've got your mind made up.

The article you referred to "Trump appears to suggest veterans with PTSD are not 'strong', while not damning, is a broader part of his issues with the military. Why did you change the actual headline in your post?
It was probably another one of Trump's unfortunate word salads he throws out there but some were offended. Thank goodness the honorable and recent Qanon supporter, Michael Flynn, came to his defense.

My bad, I left the words, “appears to suggest” out of my initial post in my fit of rage. You got me.
But that doesn’t change the point I’m making, that the article is dishonest and trash and completely mischaracterizes what he said.

I eagerly await your next conspiracy theory
There was rain that day, I'm not sure why that is being questioned. I remember when it happened. Just a matter of how severe it was and should they have cancelled instead of driving. Lots of talk about disrupting traffic and how long it would take. Also concern about how to get trump out of the cemetery in case of an emergency.

Zero magic and zero time travel😆

But then factor in an AP who have already in part corroborated The Atlantic report through sources, and on top of that, like you and many others have pointed out, Trump's own history where his same words were used about John McCain that are playing on repeat now. Old wounds have been opened and Trump can thank himself for that.

Make no mistake... The conversations are happening in private with Trumplicans because they know the potential voter hit that this may cause with that good ol' "silent majority" ... and they are losing their shit over this.

Take a listen to Biden's speech and his Q&A from today... he absolutely feasted on a floundering Trump.

My understanding is that 1) There was rain that kept them from using the helicopter, 2) The travel time would have been 3 hours by motorcade 3) Secret Service had not scouted the route by land, therefore had significant objections to the motorcade. Everything there sounds perfectly reasonable / believable, although you can probably be a bit critical about the SS not having a back-up plan.

According to Bolton though, Trump didn't exactly raise any objections either, ie. "This is outrageous, I need to be there!", etc.
Both the official reason and Trump spouting off about how stupid the soldiers were for dying are not two mutually exclusive possibilities.

Yeah, it takes intestinal fortitude of the strongest kind to tighten your abdomen, thrust out your chest with your head held high, and proclaim, "you're right, boss, these guys are lying about you, boss!"
