Holy wow. Of course he does. Caleb love is an awful shooter. I’d assume ppl here would want him gone if he had been on Purdue 😂hey now, @bonefish1 loves him some Caleb Love. Don’t bother him with these facts and figures!
Love is so bad lol. I've been mystified for what seems like 7 years at people heaping praise on that guyHoly wow. Of course he does. Caleb love is an awful shooter. I’d assume ppl here would want him gone if he had been on Purdue 😂
Love is 3-29 from 3 this month.hey now, @bonefish1 loves him some Caleb Love. Don’t bother him with these facts and figures!
He had that one run through the tourney and besides that, chucks up 250+ 3s in a year at 30%. He goes 1-10 or Ofer quite a lot.Love is so bad lol. I've been mystified for what seems like 7 years at people heaping praise on that guy
That wasn't my point.Heide isn't a key starter who we rely on for scoring.
No, it's mine, that's why I said it.That wasn't my point.

What % from 3, ppg, and/or rpg should they be averaging for you to think they were contributing? That wasn't my point.
Those stats vary every game and always will. And as you know, though it's still the hardest shot in the game, the 3 is also the one with more risks, though that's changing as players shoot more. Blocking out, defending, not fouling unless needed, assists to TO ratio in the plus column, finding the open man.... are all just as important. What % from 3, ppg, and/or rpg should they be averaging for you to think they were contributing?
That’s a whole lot of words for not answering the question. But I am guessing these two are in the top 20-30 sophomores in the country in the those categories that play the same amount of mins. Those stats vary every game and always will. There are so many variables to every sport from baseball to tennis (yuck), and not one is more important if you want to win.
Also wanted to use this one. Should have used em both haha
You can still admit he was better than he is now. My guess, he transfers again. I think he'd be better off going to a MWC level school like New Mexico. He could probably flourish under Lil Pitino. He wasn’t that good of a player
He's a scorer. Wouldn't consider him a shooter. Kinda in the same way Iverson was considered a scorer. High volume but can create for himself. He's also a good defender. He'd actually fit well next to Smith I think.Holy wow. Of course he does. Caleb love is an awful shooter. I’d assume ppl here would want him gone if he had been on Purdue 😂
🤦♂️He's a scorer. Wouldn't consider him a shooter. Kinda in the same way Iverson was considered a scorer. High volume but can create for himself. He's also a good defender. He'd actually fit well next to Smith I think.
If you don't think Purdue could use a perimeter defender that can get buckets... He'd probably shoot a better percentage under Painter as well.🤦♂️
I’d take a whole lot of other players than Caleb love. He would not fit well in Purdues system or culture. He wasn’t the greatest locker room guyIf you don't think Purdue could use a perimeter defender that can get buckets... He'd probably shoot a better percentage under Painter as well.
UNC apparently thought the same... Clearly he wasn't actually the problem.I’d take a whole lot of other players than Caleb love. He would not fit well in Purdues system or culture. He wasn’t the greatest locker room guy
Hubert Davis is the problem. But love wasn’t helping with his poor shot selection and his own green lightUNC apparently thought the same... Clearly he wasn't actually the problem.
LOL. “Creating” shots and missing 62.5% of those shots is not a winning formula.High volume but can create for himself.
He really needs to be taking more twos. Couldn't tell you why he's shooting so poorly this year. Last year he was shooting 14.7 shots a game and shooting 41.3% from the field. This year he is taking 14.5 and shooting on 37.8%. Last year he was taking 7.7 3s a game on 33.2% and this year he's taking 7.8 on 29.6%(which is actually a weird trend for him from year to year). He was also taking 7 2s a game last year on 50% and this year he's at 6.7 2s a game on 47.4%. He's taking a FT less per game as well. Reasons? I don't know. Is he a worthwhile guard in college basketball? Absolutely. Is he a net positive? Absolutely. Would he be better off with some more strict coaching? Absolutely. I think he'd kill it playing for a guy like Painter and alongside Smith and it'd quite possibly the best backcourt in the nation and one of the scariest going into an NCAA tournament.LOL. “Creating” shots and missing 62.5% of those shots is not a winning formula.
Hubert is definitely a problem. It'll be interesting to see what they do with him. If that job opens, it hurts Indiana on the coaching market. So I'm hoping they wait a year. UNC will without a doubt go after the likes of Nate Oats, TJ Otz, Bruce Pearl... They won't be scared about it and those dudes at UNC would be scary.Hubert Davis is the problem. But love wasn’t helping with his poor shot selection and his own green light
He’s a career 37.5% shooter. He can create his own bad shots, that he misses 62.5% of the time. That is not a “net positive”.He really needs to be taking more twos. Yea his 3pt% really brings down his percentages a ton because of how many he shoots. He himself is indeed a net positive player. If he played zero defense, then no.He’s a career 37.5% shooter. He can create his own bad shots, that he misses 62.5% of the time. That is not a “net positive”.
He would have to be a lockdown defender to become a net positive, with his horrific offensive efficiency numbers, and he most certainly is not.Yea his 3pt% really brings down his percentages a ton because of how many he shoots. Well he is a better defender than anyone on Purdue according to his defensive rating on basketball reference(per 100 possessions. He would have to be a lockdown defender to become a net positive, with his horrific offensive efficiency numbers, and he most certainly is not.
According to basketball reference in his advanced stats... He's a plus 6.3 BPM. Which is better than Cox and Loyer. No, he is not.
Ohhhhhh so now you use analytics, but you don’t believe in them when your poll is questioned with them?According to basketball reference in his advanced stats... He's a plus 6.3 BPM. Which is better than Cox and Loyer.
You ever actually watched him?Well he is a better defender than anyone on Purdue according to his defensive rating on basketball reference(per 100 possessions.
