He gets 5-stars every year. He may have had more than any other B1G team this year. Then coaching takes over.Originally posted by IndyBoilers2000:
How does that bozo CTC land a 5* recruit.

Perea was a 5-star front-line guy who they were telling us was 1-and-done. Even before his injury, he wasn't playing up to his accolades.Originally posted by cprh9u:
Everyone knew their lack of an inside game killed them this year. Assuming they keep their backcourt, adding a couple of good or great freshman frontline guys could make them a lot better. True they still have Tan Tommy, but they certainly have talent as well.
Good point, and I was more familiar with Perea. Even in HS, most of us knew he wasn't worth his ranking as it was all based on athleticism and "potential" which never has come. Is this kid different? If he is a legit day 1 difference maker down low, then IU just got a lot better. If he is another Perea, then it doesn't matter much at all.Originally posted by purdue4sure:

No one will really know until he gets on the court in a game after clappy applies some of his coaching "prowess".Originally posted by cprh9u:

I think anyone could recruit at I.U. History and Banners helps more than anything. I hate hearing him land this kid. Actually, I'm tired of it and not seeing it here.Originally posted by Bigohh:
he can recruit. Otherwise, they might go out and hire a real coach in Bloomingburg. He is the best thing going for Purdue b-ball
