If IU pulls off this class of Sisley/ Mullins/Haralson/Reibe.....

Will Sisley reopen his recruitment?
You know it’s gonna happen. He’s like where’s all them other 2025 recruits?
will smith empty room GIF

why do we give a shat who iu signs or doesnt'?
Well, they do like to come here pumping their chest out of the NIL dealings. They some how equate this into recruiting (investment into a player before they hit a college floor) and they have failed miserably at it.

We have given them a system of how this whole recruiting 'thing' works and they still don't get. it! Become a winning program, a coach that gives his all to the players before they set-foot on campus and show the recruit a family environment.

They laughed at CMP for spending a ton of time on Sisley. We pay CMP to recruit, win and make Purdue a great environment. IU pays Woodson to write checks......that's it! They can laugh all they want CMP is doing exactly what he gets paid to do and Woodson hasn't done what he gets paid to do.

Yes, I do agree with you....we shouldn't give 2 cents about the program.

We may be hearing from Sisley early next year….

The IndyStar article was really good. He talks through the entire process and how he made the decision. He seems like a kid who didn’t make a rash decision and thought through it.

IU board saying his dad is Cocky…always something with them when they don’t get the recruits they thought they are entitled to

In reality, Mullins eliminated IU after his visit there because the difference between the programs was so great. IU tried to get both him and Haralson by outbidding UConn and ND, but it didn’t influence either of those kids or their families at all. TS is from an IU family and he always wanted to go there, but they promised he’d be part of a big class and it’s not happening. Will be surprised if he opens back up unless Woodson gets booted, but they sold him on being part of a high profile class when they were never getting either of the other guys. They really aren’t focused much on high school kids anyway, and the AAU and HS coaches know this. The Cook checkbook is their only selling point.

I’ll be surprised if Sisley DOESN’T reopen his recruitment 😂

Neither had anything to do with being "underwhelmed." For Mullins it was playing SG for a guy who just put Castle and Hawkins in the NBA and won back to back titles. For Haralson, being able to play point guard and being more of a focal point of the offense. They were getting paid no matter where they went.

Interesting indiana and Illinois have basically had same schedule and Illinois is handling the opponents much better. Is Illinois that good or indiana not playing to their ranking?

I think Illinois has the better overall talent and are able to use that to their advantage right now vs teams that aren’t very good. When they played a team that had similar talent, they did not do so hot.

IU will be tough to gauge how good they are until they play an actual team. They still aren’t hitting 3s and aren’t shooting a lot of them. They are also allowing their opponents (that aren’t even good/have complex offensive sets) take a LOT of open 3s. If they don’t beat Louisville, we may not know if they are any good until they get into the e conference season because their non conf outside of Battle for Atlantis is so weak. They were tied with Watson Illinois today at half or close to it and their tallest guy is 6’10 who doesn’t play much —-their main guys are 6’8 and Ballo only had 9 boards. IU has used their size advantage at the 3-5 positions so far but it will be interesting to see how they match up vs a team with similar skill and length. Rice and Carlyle still haven’t acclimated that well either for them.
