He had a quite game against Purdye and I certainly wish the young man well. But I wonder if time will show he could have been more productive in Purdue's offense featuring the pass vs. MSU's that highlights the run.

I know BB was to be a factor as well so we'll see what he does there as well

Remember a replay where he was supposed to seal the end and he slowed down and just kind of bumped into Sullivan, and Sullivan just turned to the side and made the tackle. I thought it looked very much like he shied away from the contact.

I thought he had most of the catches on that last TD drive. Wonder if that was planned or just drawn up (use the emotional factor of playing at your former team).

I can see how well his insistance on playing wide receiver has worked! Now it'll be interesting if he ever sets foot in a basketball game.
He is not a kid that lacks talent, but, he has moved to TE already...he would have been an ideal TE at Purdue in their offense (and failed to see that...which is the larger issue seemingly in his case...just as it is with a lot of young guys).

I will be just as curious as you to see if he ever plays basketball...I am hard pressed to believe that he would have at Purdue though either...and maybe that factored in.

He had a solid game Saturday and he'll be a good TE there before his career is over if he wants to be. Supposedly basketball was the reason he left Purdue, which makes sense. Honestly, how would that guy even get practice reps at the 4 with Gillis, Furst, and Kaufman-Renn in front of him? Consider the fact that those three guys are his age or younger, and the forecast was not favorable for him to ever see the floor at Purdue in anything other than a mop-up role.

From what I've heard, Izzo has basically told him to "focus on football and enjoy MSU's special season," meaning the kid doesn't have a future with MSU hoops either.

The best choice for his future is as a TE. He should focus on that. He's never going to see minutes as a B1G hoops player unless he transfers to Northwestern or maybe Nebraska.

2 catches. 1 for a big gain up the middle, and then he caught the 2-point conversion. So technically 1 official catch.
