That was a rocket from Big Tre to Zach Edey. wow. Too little, too late, perhaps.
Yep it was the difference in the game. Add in all the .issues bunnies and it's a recipe for a loss.

And what about pints in the paint or lack thereof for us? We didn't rebound or score much in the paint which is our primary focus.
I hear you, FDB - Boilers have a lot of work to do. Wisconsin can look pedestrian at times, but they can also beat you in a back alley fight like tonight. When Davis is on, he's extremely tough.
Somehow Painter needs to figure out that Hunter's not doing him any favors with the playing time he's getting.
And where was Newman in the 2nd half? Is he in a big doghouse or what?
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how and why Hunter gets as many minutes as he does.
Our guards not named Ivey had a combined 13 points. Our bigs (Edey, Tre, and Gillis) had 42 points.
We gotta get Newman out of his funk and put Hunter on the bench.
This is the part where I remind everyone that the 2010 team lost three straight in January...but that team had a clue on defense.
We also missed 9 free throws and like 4 of those were the front end of a 1 and 1. We don’t have good enough guard play outside of Ivey to play such a sloppy game because we don’t have anyone else who can get in the lane at all.
Are struggles are usually with good athletic guards. Davis really good and Davison good. We don’t really have anyone to guard athletic guards except for Ivey, and he gets lost on defense.
I think our guards had too many pints the way they played
Ivey is in for a rude awakening trying to check someone in the NBA.
This and we used to be able to shut their main guard down. That doesn’t happen anymore.
You and me both. This team might make the Sweet 16. That’s about it.
Just saying historically we struggle against good guard play. Hopefully we learn and get better. Long season.

anything is better than Hunter, Newman had Good D on Davis when Davis lost the ball in 2nd half. You have to let Newman shoot out of it. Coach gives all that leeway to Ivey to get going, should be similar for Newman. Hunter is a Sr, we know what he is at this point.
Candidly, Sasha Stefanovic had a rough night - seemed out of sorts, and I'm not sure why. This team just needs to dig deep - you've got your adversity - how do you respond - it could make them better - or it could become a big issue.....we shall see....don't know right now which way it goes. Too many mental errors tonight, IMO.
Also Furst hasn't really given us anything for a while. Things are not looking good. Can Chris Kramer enroll in school again?
When Sasha's outside shot isn't falling he doesn't really have anything else in his game to help out

All of our gaurds outside of Ivey are to similar....They either are hot from 3 or none of them can do anything...I wish it would be just one would have an off night...But they all seem to have off nights the same night

Agree with the Morton part. Perhaps this loss thrusts Morton into the starting lineup and in the grand scheme of things is what we need...im kind grasping a bit I know.
I highly agree with Morton at PG (although I'd substitute Edey for Sasha in the best 5 list, not sure how much he and Williams can see the court together...)
