Wisconsin at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Smith just 4 points on 1-6 shooting. Not getting many clean looks. That has to get better for Purdue to win today. That, and team defense.

Colvin and Heide. Guys, you have to do something on offense. We can't keep getting goose eggs from you. 3-5 pts a game from each of you isn't too much to ask.
They have zero confidence at this point. We don’t really have a break in the schedule to try and get them going. I wouldn’t be shocked if one or both leaves after this year. Both started, then lost it, both aren’t contributing anything, at some point you need a change of scenery. Colvins dad probably doesn’t want him to leave, Heide seems like a program goes, but a whole season not contributing much after last year? Not everyone is Furst.

Turnovers - Wisconsin (3), Purdue (3)

3pt FG's - Wisconsin (6/18), Purdue (3/8)

Smith 1-6, 4 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds

Neither team getting many second chance opportunities.

Wisconsin seems to be controlling a little more of the action - probably like its position right now.

He’s still a shorter guard despite being brilliant, and having to run into the Wisconsin Polar bears they have up front. He’s been better at finding others than his shot today.

It always seems to come back to one thing: outside of the big three, is anyone going to step up? Cox and Harris have had some small moments, but everyone else? Not so much

Wisky just seems to me that they are able to run what they want, whenever they want it. Drive the lane, screen for a three, anything.

The issue to me is that McGee is looking ahead towards TKR for at least 6-8 ft seeing the screen coming and extends his hand to hit TKR where he did. Not saying it was intentional, but definitely could have been. If he was blindsided with a screen and that happens, obviously it's not intentional.

No one can guard someone making all that slop. When you’re feeling it, you’re feeling it, I guess. About to be a 4 point play
Wonder if we have anyone that can play defense well enough to force him to put the ball on the floor and drive, just to shake things up.
