Will Purdue go bowling in nashville?

I would LOVE a bid to the Music City Bowl. I live 2.5 hours from Nashville.

Looks like the announcements will be made Dec. 3.

I figured we wouldn't know till after the conference championship games. Committee don't like rematches so doubt the match us against mizz or Louisville. I too hope we land in Nashville. Hope it's not in the middle of the week though as it would be harder to travel.

I hope Nashville, but I'm only an hour and half from Gotham City.

My wife loves Franklin, so Ive been looking for a good excuse to get there. 10 year ann'y, 3 paycheck month upcoming I believe, her fav city 30 min from stadium, Hilton Honors points to burn on hotel...in-laws can babysit...

Um, if we end up in Nashville, I probably have to go as I think about it. Will rely on any of you local experts for how to bring this thing together.

1700 mile flight (AZ) should be a breeze without the crumb crunchers.

Nashville doesn't appear likely based on what I am reading since they have the top pick of the bottom 4 bowls. They would need to pick us over Iowa. Picking order is -

Music City
Pinstripe
Foster Farms - San Fran
Detroit - likely won't get a B10 team

What it will come down to is whether the B10 gets 3 teams into the New Years Six Bowl games. If we get 2 then that will push a team like Michigan State, Northwestern and Michigan down a notch.

The two options are Pinstripe and Foster Farms.

The opponent for pinstripe would possible be Louisville right? That could rule them out.

I know it’s not a popular pick, but I would love Detroit again. Makes for an easy bowl game for me to attend.

Yeah that Western Michigan game was a wild one. We had great seats and it was a little farther than I drive to normal games at Purdue. I care more about the opponent and the final score than the location. We are playing in the "last four in" bowls. Who gives a shit about the bowl pedigree.

I may go to the Music City bowl game regardless. it's a 3-4 hour drive. Check out a Grand Ol Opry performance, maybe some other concert. take in the food at one of my favorite restaurants. spend the day at their outlet mall. There is a lot to like about Nashville.

What I understand is the bowls don’t pick the teams like they used to do. Now the conferences have more influence on where their teams go, after the playoffs and New Year’s Day bowls of course. So the Music City, Pinstripe etc will be more so determined by the BIG. That’s how I understand it from the Jerry Palm article. We’ll just have to wait and see...
