Why isn't Brohm the U of L coach already????

Everything I've ever heard about Brohm and Tennessee was that he was packed and ready to go when Tennessee botched the buyout. So I'm hoping Louisville doesn't make that same mistake (if it gets to that point).
Are these the same voices in your head telling you he’s packed and ready to go to Louisville?

Dear tired UofL fanny, no one at Purdue EVER said he wants to or will stay here. You’re better than that too, maybe not though. His destination has been and will be UofL. We have ALL acknowledged that. But we are confident that it is not now, but eventually of course. You’re attempt to start a bickering of sorts over that is odd, at best. We ALL know his long term goal, duh....bourbon time

No bickering attempts here. I said that I have heard he was almost signed, sealed, and delivered to UT and then they botched it with the buyout negotiations. You countered that statement. You would know if I was bickering instead of just stating my opinion.

We had DH for many of the past years. Brohm is a guy I would love to keep around for the future. Here is where the problem could exist for him, recruiting against a up and coming Kentucky program and winning more than 8-9 games a year like Bobby. If this does not work after 2-3 years where does Brohm turn to? Jobless? Another O position? Purdue is trending upward and Brohm could take it further.

He absolutely can be both. You didn’t fire him for screwing randoms in restaurants, looking the other way while his staff hired hookers...you fired him when the FBI busted him for paying recruits. You going to pay him a boatload of money and he’s still a cheater.

This thread is digressing, but I'll say this. Two Final Fours and a National Championship were stripped away due to violations committed under Rick's watch. And keep in mind, the $100k to Brian Bowen from Adidas stuff had nothing to do with those, so, add those to "cause" as well. If that's not cause for firing, then there never will be.

None of that matters when he has the emotional tie to UofL.

While they may not pay the full $37MM, I can guarantee they will pay something in order to settle the lawsuit and make it go away. I highly doubt it would be something less than $10MM...

Are you part of UofL's legal team? If not - and of course you're not - you can't "guarantee" anything. The situations of the previous two years has taught Louisville more than a few lessons - one of them being to never capitulate in any way moving forward. Pitino doesn't have the facts on his side and the ugliness created by him for the university means that Louisville will oppose paying him a nickel to the bitter end.

Then you heard a lot of BS.

Sounds like bickering

Are these lawyers alumni of the Tier 5 Louisville Law School? We’ll see.

What’s awesome is that I’m sure you were Pitino’s biggest defender for years. I’m sure most of the Louisville posters here loved ole Ricky as long as he was winning. Hookers? Not Ricky’s fault! Screwing randoms on top of a table in an Italian restaurant? No problem!

Pray tell - how do you botch a buyout?

“The contractual buyout is $4 million.”

“I don’t understand what that means...we’ll just hire our 7th choice.”
He is a little man, scared little man-he is freaking out inside because CJB didn’t come out and say ‘geez guys, this is, ya know l...my dream job...I’m kinda like stoked’
No, instead he is thinking about others and how it might effect them and it is killing little man and his friends who post on here. We knew this day would come, leaving eventually so Purdue focused on what we could control...make the job attractive in every way possible so the next coaching search is simple and ‘plug-and-play’

Ask the BOT and AD at Tennessee, or just go to their Board volnation.com. I'm sure they'll be glad to tell you there.

You know so much about me. We're soul mates. I love you. Let's kiss. Now it's awkward. You're welcome.

Takes two to bicker and kiss.
Isn’t it past little man’s bed time, Maybe your dog will give you a good night kiss. I don’t know why you’re asking me to kiss you when I’m just enjoying washing all of you in your fellow red bird fans turn-off potential coaches buy your behavior

Who said I'm asking? I make the rules around here.
