I think they will be ok with their top 10 recruiting class which consists of 9 top 300 players and a potential New Years Day bowl to get to 11 wins.

Yes, OSU dominates Michigan. No question about that. That series is approaching Michigan v. Purdue level domination.
Yeah, and Purdue's second year coach beat #2 OSU 49-20. #10 OSU whipped #4 Michigan 62-39.

Get over the Knight thing....You can watch the hatchet job on him today and smile. As for Brohm, I really hope he proves me wrong because if he doesn't, there's going to be a lot bridge watches in West Laffy.
You mean the ESPN thing? Dont need to watch it . I already know he is a deplorable piece of shit. The world will be a better place when he is gone.

Did you really just say that? Purdue was 9-33 (3-24) under Hazell. 4 straight Bucket Game losses to IU.

Purdue is 13-12 (9-9 in BIG) under Brohm. 2 straight Bucket Game wins and 2 straight bowl games. Bowl game win over Arizona last year. Beat down Mizzou in Columbia 35-3. (IU hasn't won a bowl game since 1991!) Purdue likely going to the Music City Bowl in Nashville this year, probably playing Vanderbilt. Brohm beat #2 OSU 49-20, #16 Iowa, and #23 Boston College 30-13. Beat Iowa last year at Iowa too. #24 ranked recruiting class this year with 5 4* and maybe 2 more 4*s.

Glorified HS Coach is 10-14 (4-14 in BIG). IU plays a pud non-conference schedule every year. With Brohm, Purdue has played Missouri twice, Louisville with the Heisman trophy winner, Boston College. Next year, Purdue plays Vanderbilt and TCU.

Brohm owns IU and will continue to do so as long as he's at Purdue, which after this contract update could be awhile.
Bragging about a PU coach beating IU really isn't a qualifier in spite of Haze's dismal experiment. And I've never been excited about a .500 record. Ever.

As for playing better competition, that should be the goal every year.

I don't understand why you're beating this horse. You don't like the strategy. Many here do.

Brohm has done a phenomenal job in virtually every measure. Even the W/L record. It mystifies me how that could be a point of contention. Nobody wants to "settle" for a .500 record, but realizing what he's had to work with is key to recognizing what virtually everyone would consider a masterful job!

I hate talking about the prior coach (he's gone), but the fan base had been accustomed to seeing 1, 2 or 3 wins for the entire season.
The 4 recruiting classes in that era were 56th, 71st, 68th, and 73rd.

Brohm took those poorly-rated classes, and has gone 7-6 and 6-6. His first recruiting class was 49th, and this class sits prominently at 24th.

Goodness, brother! You've had so many good posts on this forum, but this topic is just making you look unhinged.

Brohm’s just getting started. Are you going to bitch when he’s 9-3, 10-2 because he didn’t make the playoff?

After listening to Drew Deener interview, saltiest tears= Oscar Brohm
As a parent of adult children I appreciate Oscar's emotions but want my children to do what is in their best interests. I hope they will be around living successfully long after I'm gone. Unlike Oscar if being around my family was that important to me I'd follow them instead of pressuring them to come home.

Yeah.... I think I can relate to some of the harsh conversations that went on.

I won't come right out and speculate on the source, but people have to understand, the Brohms have been chasing Jeff's career for quite a few years. Now, after all those years, the "golden child" has the chance to come back home. That means, grandma and grandpa have the chance to see all the grandkids . . . and I mean, ALL the grandkids . . . play sports . . . dance . . . experience school events . . . HAVE CHRISTMAS AT HOME . . . and you're going to turn that DOWN??

Yeah... I have more to say about that.

Been there. I know the heated conversations.

Yes, and in spite of the overwhelming love of a father for his son, it wouldn't surprise me if some things were said that shouldn't have.
Yep, Jeff said that in the interview on ESPN 680, there were a few things said in the family meeting that shouldn’t have been said.

Been there, done that, but with my wife’s parents.
