When we Lost the Game.....

Please note I am not a Painter fan and I think most of the thoughts on when we lost the game are incorrect (IMO). I thought we lost last nights game in the first half. We had a chance to put Iowa down and it seemed like we had a bit of a let down once we got up in the first half. This team needs to learn how to bury a team when we get up some as opposed to coasting.

Of course IOWA is going to come back in the second half and if we leave the game to a hand full of possessions at the end of the game on the road we will not win many of those games..
The ref did this, that guy turned it, over we should have made an open three, none of that matters all that much if you are giving the home team a chance at all to win at the end of the game..

Put them down early and stay on top of them in the first half. I think we go into the half up 10-15 points it is a different game. I'd like to blame this on Painter but other then not playing Haas more in the first half, not sure this one is on the coach. We had the chance to put them away or remove the idea they could win in the first half and we didn't.

This was a HUGE game to determine the B1G Champion and we just moved back a bit in that quest.

We are definitely not winning the Big Ten, you hope you just move on from it and learn, but recent history tells me otherwise. With Purdue and being a fan, you almost expect the worst anymore.

Don't forget, Iowa played arguably their best game of the year. We have a target on our back. We will have a target on our back in every game we play the rest of this year. We are going to get every team's best effort. Get used to it. This will not be the first game to come down to the final minute.

Championship teams have players that thrive on that and step up in the big moments. We have many candidates for that, but no one "go to" person as of yet.

Lol this post makes it sound like you're a top five team, you're barely a top 25 team, if that. It doesn't take Iowa, or probably any other B10's best shot to beat you. You have Swanigan and a bunch of average guys, just not that good of a team.

Did you happen to to catch Jok's comments when interviewed by BTN immediately following last night's game? Sure sounds like he made sure everyone in an Iowa uniform played their best game.

This might be the funniest post I have ever read.

Uh, Biggie will win conference player of the year and be a first team all-american

No just the highest ranked team in the conference.

The good thing is that the best team now does not always win the league title. In fact the team that is best at the end of the season may not be the league champs. My point is that it is a long season, lean now to be better then!
