Since we are killing time till the games start (OK, I tried the Ouija board thingee from the other topic and it told me to drink beer and make this thread.....)

What superstitions do you have for Purdue games.

For me, it's Phone Ap electronic cribbage.

I can't watch games live. I can't record games and watch them. Either happens, Purdue loses. Been that way for years now. At best, I can go back after the fact and watch the games on the ESPN Roku Streaming channel or Big102go.

The only way I can experience the games "live" is following them on the equivalent Gamescasts for ESPN, CBS, etc.
And whenever Purdue is losing, I break out my phone and start playing my cribbage ap.

First started doing this when we were down big in the Butler game. I started playing and we started to make our run. Unfortunately, had to get in the car and drive for the last few minutes of the game and couldn't play......and we know that result. Sorry, my bad.

Ever since than, when I have had a chance to follow the game and we are losing, I whip my phone out and personally secure the Purdue victory. Hasn't let me down yet. Unfortunately, I'm a relatively busy person (two kids with a myriad of activities that require my attendance / chauffeur capabilities), so I have not been able to follow every game. I shall do my best to have my phone ready for all tournament games.

So what are yours? Probably not as neurotic as mine, but feel free to share.

If Biggie hits a 3, I don't change my underwear until he hits another one. but then I can't change it until he hits another one. It's a vicious circle out here.

Not Purdue-related, but Lafayette-related.

I'm a native Detroiter and naturally a fan of the Red Wings. I was working at Purdue in the C-SPAN Archives after I graduated. During the Stanley Cup runs in '97 and '98, I would head over to Arni's at Columbian Park and pick up a pep and sausage before every game that I was able to watch on TV. Sat in the same spot on the couch while devouring the pizza. I'm convinced this is what led to back-to-back Cups (Fedorov, Yzerman, and Lidstrom had something do to with it, too).

It takes 16 wins to get the Cup. I'm still a bit miffed that I was not named Arni's Customer of the Decade. Anyway, I was fortunate to have the metabolism to eat so much pizza and not gain any weight. If I tried that today, I would end up looking like Marty Simmons.

I'm guessing your wife may be the only Purdue fan that actually wants Biggie to launch a 3 early in tomorrow's game.

if he launches a 3 I think I may prefer it be early in the game, not clock

With football, everytime I watch, we lose. Also, every time I don't watch. And if I partially watch. I tried standing on my head to watch, and we fumbled.

With basketball, I just need to watch the game, however & whenever I can. The world seems cruel & cold if I miss a game.
