What a great win last night after losing the prior two.

Sorry, can't change the header....meant the loss to Michigan and the struggle with PSU.

Sometimes it's very hard to come back after that kind of loss in the prior game but Painter had the team focused to avoid another pitfall.

Some on here have been on PJ...too short, not quick enough, not a PG....but I'll tell you this, he is exactly what this team needs.

Others have questioned Spike....again, just the right pick up by Painter to come in and steady this team when it's the most important. His three last night was a dagger.

And if Swanigan does go pro, this team is going to be just as good next season....and IMHO will be looking to repeat.

Great job by Painter, the players, and last night the fans.

I like Spike!

I think with or without Swanigan this team is preseason top ten . Just my opinion

Played poorly enough and ALMOST lost the prior 2, but I agree with everything else you wrote. Purdue should be in position to repeat. I have been a Purdue fan long enough to know that whenever a star player leaves, the good players that surround him pick up the slack. People said that we would miss AJ Hammons, and we did. But the team took on a different personality, players stepped up, and they won a B1G championship. Next year, Purdue will have a really, really good senior class. Cline and CEdwards will have more impact. And we can count on at least one newcomer to step in and deliver. I'm already excited for next year.

I'm really anxious to see what Haarms can do. If he really can move outside and hit the three, he's going to open up the lane for the guards to penetrate, but my guess is Painter keeps him inside. And I'm hoping Haas takes some ballet lessons over the summer to improve his footwork.

Out of raw curiosity, have you seen his current footwork? Not trying to be obnoxious here, jus t want to know what you've seen.

Yep....made it a point to watch it after someone else posted about it on here a while back.

It appears to me....and someone else can show me where I'm wrong....that he's pretty slow when having to make lateral moves which I believe gets him in foul trouble.
