Happily my beer and anger has turned to euphoria and coffee as I did NOT see that win coming.

Now, I did go off in the game thread and said somethings I still believe, but I did go overboard in my comments in regards to the harshness of the words I chose. Can't say it won't happen again, because with beer anything is possible :). But there is nothing better than being proven to look like a drunken fool with a very critical win.

Finally to our most hated rival, that wave you do to the kids in the children's hospital is awesome. We need more of that kind of expression in this world. I was happy to also see our players take part in it as well.

I'll admit, I got more than a little nervous when Iowa scored rather easily to make it 24-15. I had momentary flashbacks to Nebraska. But it mostly subsided when they missed the two point conversion. I'm still not sure why they didn't kick it to make it an 8 point game.

I had my crow last night, as I predicted a 21-10 Iowa victory as well as my 4 win pre season prediction go happily down the tube. But it was taken as I had some euphoria for desert. I wasn't sure till after the missed 2 pt conversion due to all our field position being squandered and that fumble we had on the final drive. Schopper's punt and Mosley's Int were huge also.

Yes. Like the 1997 and 1998 teams, this year's defense has raised being opportunistic to an art form.

There are going to be some big shoes to fill next year.

This defense is by far better than the ones Tiller had, not talent-wise but scheme-wise. Purdue is giving up an average of 18.9 ppg. Last year, Purdue gave up over 38 ppg. Think about that for a minute. Coach Holt and his staff have been nails this year, except maybe at the end of the Nebraska game.

The Wave hit me close to home. Took me back to my 3 year old grandson's early days in St Louis Children's Hospital with leukemia. His whole world was contained in one room for weeks. Fortunately part of the hospital outside his window was being demolished and he spent hours watching. The Wave gives those kids contact with an outside world that they miss and perceive as trouble free and lets them know they are not alone. We were lucky and after 2 1/2 years of constant visits to Children's Colton is cancer free and has been off all meds for over a year. Kudos to the fans of Iowa.

Applause Applause! Only a good man owns up publicly when he regrets something he said. Beer will often cause words being spoken which are regretted later.

Ha thanks. Here is how I look at it, this coaching staff has given us all so much hope that emotion is now back in to it. Which is great!

Anyway, Boiler up and bring on the loosiers!

They say the mouth has no eraser... but i think that goes out the window with Purdue football, which could drive any sane man up a wall...
