Cam hasn't shown that he can get to the rim but he definitely has the potential for the rest.
Maybe if they're bringing in another 3/4 type, I could see it for Cam? You're right though, who knows at this point.
Losing all three (Colvin, Heidi and Harris) would be a huge hit to the roster…
This would not be that far out of possibility when you consider Smith, Loyer, Cox have the 1-2-3 positions locked down. Why would Heidi and Harris be happy off the bench another year?!
Bench points at the 1-2-3-4 positions would be close to zero if that happened…

Of those two I like Rashad King better because of size although either of the Maryland staters would be quality additions to most teams… I think we might want to consider Tae Davis…

If Harris and Heide leave then we definitely need to stop worrying about loyalty and just start treating the portal like 1-2 year rentals. If Harris can't wait until after next season when he's likely a two year starter then he must think he's early entry NBA material.

Heide was seen with smith at the co rec yesterday and has talked about how much he loves being at Purdue. And Harris would make no sense. I hope he is 100000% wrong.

If I am Heide, I am asking what my role will be, but I think that the Colvin departure opens minutes backing up Loyer. I see him as a 20 minute per game guy backing up Loyer and TKR on a national championship contender. Purdue has a lot of guys that you can run plays for and having a 3 and D like Heide in the mix is a great asset for this team.
Harris also is in a good position to split time with Cox and pair with Cox in the rare occasions that Braden goes to the bench. I was impressed by his ball handling and defense, and his shooting wasn’t bad. This may all change if Purdue brings in another guard, but I like his future at Purdue if he stays and continues to develop.

100% agree. Both are likely starters with starter minutes after the big 3 depart as well. And if my hopium is right, tCox/Harris could be one of the best duos in the land when they have the reigns.

With the article posted in the other thread, I can’t imagine Harris leaving with what he said. And Heide at the co rec with smith, who he has called the best PG in the country for two straight years now, doesn’t seem like someone going to portal.

I believe Booker was a DNP, coaches decision the last 2 games. He was only getting about 5-8 first half minutes a few games before those. Writing was on the wall for this today.
When you can't beat out Jaxson Kohler for PT, it's a you problem.
If Jace Richardson declares for the draft, Izzo will have a busy offseason, unless he retires first.

If they were to leave they’d be replaced, sort of a lot of guys to choose from. My guess is another player or 2 leave, we’ll see though, hope no one else does.
I think that's what separates us from others. We tend to keep players and CMP/Staff have the chance to develop players within the system.
Completely agree and would argue that Booker working out at MSU was a long-odds bet from day one. He might have worked out better at Purdue, but he probably would have been best served signing with Butler, Cinci, or ND out of high school. He needed to be somewhere where his physical tools gave him such an advantage that he could play through his lack of feel for the game and less than ideal motor.
It would certainly be an almost complete reset with seven of nine players who saw PT this season gone after next season, with only CJ and RB returning as juniors (assuming RB doesn't redshirt), along with sophomores Benter, DJ, and West(unless he redshirts) plus a freshman Luke Ertel.
That's not a bad batch of players, and some stars may emerge, but it would need to be pretty heavily supplemented with portal additions. Having Cam as a senior and Gicarri as a junior would certainly help.
Yea, up to this point, my hope is no one else goes, if I had to bet though I’d predict 1-2 more portal it.
OP said it would be devastating to lose Cam and Gicarri. There's speculation around each, but I don't know that it's any more than the fact that there's speculation around anyone who may not have the exact role they want at this point.

Yeah sucks because there are so many people putting out nonsense that one or both or more are all leaving.....would be weird from Mike Carmin to write an article about offseason focus of Cox and Harris knowing that Harris is leaving.
Curious to see what happens with Cam....honestly believe he could be a solid small ball 4 or big 3.....spend the off-season focusing on midrange and dribbling....
I predicted 1 of Cam or Heide would leave, would be surprised if both did. I could see another player or maybe 2 leaving, Heide would be a surprise though.
I hope Colvin is the end of departures - because I like the core and I want everyone on Twitter to STFU.

So Boilers at 11 guys now, 9 of 11 are locked for 95% of PT, so the leftover 5% goes to 10/11, so portal/prefers walk on guys 12-15? know they won’t see game time most likely
