Shoop's play calling never has any consistency. We start throwing passes down field the first half with some success. Even the announcers said where are the short screen passes from the Illinois game that never worked. Then the second half we go into the Shoop funk mode: run the ball and short passes with little success. The D makes two good interceptions and the offense goes no where. It's been this way all season w the play calling. Find plays that work for a series or two then forget them. I can't remember that they ever throw deep passes to Yancey in the center of the field always down the left side lines. Blough really needs to work on his long passes not very consistent but the first pass play was a thing of beauty. We just need more of them.
